Morning, y'all. Lu and I are off today, so we're going to goof off a bit here in town. Lu wants to see the US Botanic Garden. We haven't been there in a few years. Anything beats being out there mixing it up with post-holiday shoppers.

Beth is working today, I am gonna run into town and grab a belt to put the Boxster back in action, then looking into hotels for the stay out left

Pottered through the morning cleaning and tidying from yesterdays festivities. The kids came over mid arvo and stayed to get rid of some leftovers. Planning to have a real quiet couple of days here at home till new years eve.

Family on their way over for breakfast, going to take the 911 for a ride later, wage a war on the mice in my garage, then off to FL until '15 :)

Well the neighbors are not happy about this but the Boxster is back on it's feet. I also just had two phone interviews and I was told by both people that I will be hired, no problem. It seems that a mechanic with my stripes is hard to find out there. Works for me

why would the neighbors be unhappy about that?

Lets just say I know what the car is for, and I am not afraid to put her to 7K in any gear

Most of my neighbors are old retired folk and they are a little scared of me, but they always seem to think I am okay when they ask for help

Just got into the office. Took one of the motorbikes today. While riding through the hills of Beverly Hills, I actually got a wave back by an LEO on a bike coming the other way. How rare is that?! (They [almost] never wave.)

Nice day off today. We played tourists. We went to the botanic gardens and, after browsing around the place, we ducked into a French bakery/restaurant for pasteries and coffee. We're back home and Lu's now trying out one of her Christmas gifts, a pen pad peripheral that let's her write Chinese characters in documents on her PC. She's very happy. :)

Jim, I had no idea Lu was Chinese
