And I'm the one with Thrush, yeast infection of the tongue and mouth?

My ski gear for most conditions...

Race stretch pants, nothing under (but normal undies), long sleeved T, regular T-shirt over that. Scot Schmidt, The North Face, Steep Tech jacket - Packed with all weather goodies, bandanna. One pair of short tennis socks in the boots. Old race gloves, been stitched a few times, worn out, but work!

When things get too cold, I throw on a sweatshirt under the jacket.

I spent most of my day washing, clay baring, and polishing my old Tojo. Not something I had planned the day for, but after finishing, I am more than happy with the state of the old girl.

The bull bar can get a polish next weekend. Then she'll look really shmick. ;)

I like Columbia for a more value line. My jackets are mountain hardwear, more pricy but good! Also check out Marmot. The north face is good

Morning Y'all.
Wake me when it's over please

Outback Porsche 01-04-2015 07:07 AM

Morning Rick.

how'd the kitty pull up? Sorry the road trip didn't work out.

Rick V 01-04-2015 07:09 AM

He is back to normal but not coming near me, he knows I am miffed about the whole situation. It isn't his fault and I am not blaming him but I think he feels responsible.

Outback Porsche 01-04-2015 07:14 AM

Oh good news. Are you gunna give it another crack sans kitty?

Rick V 01-04-2015 07:22 AM

We can't. He suffers from separation anxiety which causes him to not eat. That is what caused his almost demise a couple of months ago, it was my travel. I am going to simply forget my desire to move to a warm climate and suck it up. Beth said I could fly out, make my deals and she would move on my decisions but I can't do that. I would never ask her to change everything she has ever known.

Rick V 01-04-2015 07:24 AM

I am tried to send you guys my rain to help dampen the fires and the sun is starting to come here, I hope it worked

Outback Porsche 01-04-2015 07:25 AM

I don't think my head wants to go to work tomorrow - I was dead to the world a half hour ago, woke to have a slash, and now wide awake. :(

Root canal part II tomorrow arvo...I hope it goes as well as part I...

Rick V 01-04-2015 07:26 AM

I blew some minds a couple of years ago, I had three root canals with posts and went back to work. I am not sure why but that kind of pain has never phased me, a couple of advil and I'mm good to go

Bummer. It's not a decision I could make on my own either.

I've often thought about leaving these clowns out here and heading east somewhere, especially after their capers this last year, but I couldn't drag Sharyn away from the little one (between you me and the fence post, it'd be bloody hard on me too). So, I accept my lot and dream of retirement....16 years to go now another year has passed by, woohoo!

Ya sent the rain to the wrong part of the country! It drizzled all day here, and the rest of the country is doing it's best impersonation of hell. :D

GH85Carrera 01-04-2015 07:37 AM

My last ski trip was very snowy. We had to follow the snow plus up the mountain. I had chains on the car and the heater maxed out on defrost mode trying to see out. We got to the top and parked. It snowed like crazy all day. The powder was so deep I had to use poles to get moving going downhill. If I stopped the snow was knee deep. I had a heck of a time getting the car dug out. Mrs Carrera was about to freeze. We got lucky and and the snow plow was going past as we pulled out so we followed him down. They had 4 feet of snow that day on top of a 120 inch base. That was all at Wolf Creek. The snow is deep there. With all that snow the place was almost empty because the pass was closed coming east. We were in Southfork and had a hard time getting around.

Rick V 01-04-2015 07:38 AM

Well we gotta have dreams. The way I look at it, Tucson will still be there, when the chips fall for me.
While I am venting, I told Beth that for my 50th I was either gonna be in Tucson or I would have the new spoon I have been eyeballing and it looks like neither is gonna happen, oh well life goes on.
