I'm a sook, especially with my own blood. That has been know to make me pass out. I don't like that escaping at all

I had cut myself once and when I inspected it I saw the bone in my finger. I walked into the kitchen and told Beth I should go to the hospital for a few stitches. She was so shaken that I had to drive myself because she was a wreck. My Dr. told me I am very stoic and when I say I need help it must me bad.

The rain today was nice. It made the day about 10C cooler than normal, and that made it more comfortable to spend 6 hours washing and polishing the old bus.

Sharyn hears me swearing while I'm working, she come running with the band aids to see if I've let the claret out again and she has to pick me up, or if it's only a minor bit of bark off to patch up.

She's full of sympathy though, I can hear it in her giggles.

Over the years Beth has learned, my signals. Cussing doesn't even get her attention, If I stop what I am doing to tend to a wound she asks if I am okay but rarely puts down her nail file. If I am cleaning the floor under me she will ask if I need help. Most of the time I realize I am bleeding when I see it on the floor

Hehehe, if it all goes quiet she definitely knows I'm having a little involuntary nap and there's a mess to clean up. :D

is only your own blood, or anyone's blood, that sends you off on a nap?

Stijn!!

As a regular blood donor I am very used to seeing my ow blood. It is no big deal. So far working in the garage I have avoided the hospital visits. Many wounds but just a bandaid I apply myself is enough.

nynor 01-04-2015 10:12 AM

i've hurt myself pretty good. set my own dislocated toes and shoulder. reduced the compound fracture of my leg that i suffered in a cycling accident (which was the most painful injury, of many, i have ever experienced and it continued to hurt for years).

porsche4life 01-04-2015 10:14 AM

I'll admit, I'm a wuss about injuries... I can bandage myself after a cut, but usually get lightheaded if it's a bad cut...

Rick V 01-04-2015 10:18 AM

I have broken more things than most people can even name, eventually you become immune to pain that comes in on a level of 7 and below.
When I broke my back I tried to shoot myself, it hurt that bad but not being able to move fron the navel down made it just a tad hard to get off the floor.

RKDinOKC 01-04-2015 10:58 AM

I can handle the blood and pain just fine as long as the voices leave me alone.

Rick V 01-04-2015 11:18 AM

OMG I would be so lost without the voices.
On a serous note I am thinking Lanna may be getting sold, someone talk me down

Yep, only my own. I couldn't give a rats arse about anybody else's. No doubt there's some phobia labeled to it.

Outback Porsche 01-04-2015 11:58 AM

Bugger me, but that was a struggle to leave the fart sack this morning. Bastard work!

I'm thinking that that's a decision you'd regret.

Rick V 01-04-2015 02:32 PM

Sounds like someone fairly close to my house got a new spoon, and a rather big one at that.
