You could make a good pointed stick with that.

A busy day for me today.

I went to pick up our lunch and while there an "Old" man that was likely 10 years older than I am saw my in shorts. He stopped, and was sure to tell me his wife does not let him wear shorts until Easter and never after thanksgiving. I told him to proclaim hes freedom and wear shorts a week before Easter! He just grinned and walked away.

After lunch I fired up the lawn mower and mowed the yard. We decided it was time to remove the leaf cover for the pond so we got that done. I nuked some weeds with roundup and noticed one of the sprinkler heads was crewed up. I designed and installed the system 16 years ago and this is the first head to fail. I tried just a nozzle but the head was leaking in a strange way. Dig it up and swap it out. I hope they all don't start to fail like that. I have 99 heads and I don't want to replace them all.

Now it is past time to wash the Elky. It is dirty.

It says exactly what you think it says.
That's what happens when an Infantry Drill Sergeant founds a t shirt business.

Okay, spent my day calling and doing research on my car and other cars I might want. First, did not get bit by anything. Was able to put together comps for 928 GTS's with desirable special colors, 5 speed, similar miles and condition. Recent sales prices for cars like mine are right at $70K. The guy that sold me my GTS specializes in finding and selling really nice 928s. He said if he were to list my car today it would be for $80K and he would get it. My crazy price needs to be updated by at least $10K!

Going to have to tell the guy that offered $70K I will only entertain offers over the $80K I originally stated.

Isn't a desirable color all subjective?. I mean I like white cars but I personally don't think it is a good color for a 911 (don't hit me Glen or Jim) or for a small Mercedes. I really don't think color has too much to do with value, it's all in the eye of the beer holder

Yep color is subjective, but most that have a specific color they want will pay more for it, especially if there were a limited number that color. Otherwise why would Porsche even offer Paint to Sample...because people will pay for it.

I paid about $5k for the color over a red one when I bought the car. In fact, I would not have bought a 928 if it weren't for the color.

I would never buy a Guards red, a Hellrot, Lambo, or Ferrari in any of their signature reds, it just isn't me, but looking at it from the standpoint of value, as long as the paint is good it shouldn't matter, nor effect the price.
I have only seen one other SC the color of mine, I wonder if it was one of those limited option colors? Funny part is Beth's Mercedes was ordered with a custom paint job. Back on 02 you could not get metallic black on the C Class, it was only offered on the S Class. The guy ordered it with metallic black and it looks like it could have been painted with the exact same gun that they used on Lanna. Wash them both and sit them side by side in the sun and it is hard to tell where one paint job starts and the other one ends

Lanna's paint code is 708 and correct me if I am wrong but by this list it was only used for two years. Great just to add paranoia to my paranoia about injuries to the original paint

Aubergine is the best early 911 color. GP White is the hot 964 color.

I like white cars and champagne-gold. Mine is Alpine white with a burgundy interior, dark windows, and 16" cup wheels.

I will never buy a red car (bad luck) unless it is to resell, I love the looks of a red Ferrari, or Porsche, but i'll just never own one.

Both of my vehicles are white with a burgundy interior. The perfect combo.
