Sid, Your Mom and Dad both need to drive it at the Autocross!!! Before they scare themselves too much or worse. Just too easy to get into trouble with an M badge Beemer.

I'm trying to get them out there Richard.... Dad says it doesn't have any cone rash and he intends to keep it that way.... IDK... We'll see....

I will be in town in July or August of 2012 :)

The Porsche Club has the annual meeting in a different city each year. This year was Chicago. Next year is Savannah GA. 2012 will be Salt Lake City. Is that enough advanced warning :)

Cone rash is nothing compared to wrapping it around a tree. The idea is to learn the reflexes to get out of trouble, NOT set FTD.

I bet my 911 has over 100 autocrosses and several track days and there is no cone rash at all. I have hit a few cones but just a little wax removes all the marks.

I guess that is another reason to like single stage paint. No clear coat to worry about.

Sid, to avoid cones.... try turning that round thing in front of you when you sit in the driver's seat.... That should do it
