Good Morning and Happy Anniversary.

Rick V 05-17-2015 03:40 AM

Not really, we are making the plans for 30 though, my plans for today got squished when no one would switch days with Beth.

Outback Porsche 05-17-2015 03:52 AM

We haven't thought about doing anything big for our 30th as our 100th birthday party will be in the same year.

Rick V 05-17-2015 04:02 AM

Jim Richards 05-17-2015 04:31 AM

Jim Richards 05-17-2015 04:57 AM

Rick V 05-17-2015 05:06 AM

Beautiful day here today.

RKDinOKC 05-17-2015 09:39 AM

What's fer lunch.

Rick V 05-17-2015 01:02 PM

It's closing in on dinnertime here

RKDinOKC 05-17-2015 02:44 PM

Oh great, over the 3 years my gas grill has sat on the patio not being used, the burners and heat distribution plates have rusted out. Looked it up and the parts are close to $200! I've only had it for 15 years. A new grill with more features is $400.

Outback Porsche 05-17-2015 02:57 PM

It's supposed to be a beautiful day here, high 20s. Fcuk work, I'm going golfing :D

Rick V 05-17-2015 03:02 PM

I still use charcoal, I ain't gotz no fancy gas grilz

Outback Porsche 05-17-2015 03:06 PM

I haven't fired up the Webber for about 10 years. I have been thinking about turning it into a smoker.

Rick V 05-17-2015 03:09 PM

I had a gas burner but I gave it to my son, I actually prefer charcoal, we don't do big cookouts so for us we don't need the outdoor kitchen stuff. Just a big hibachi and a bag of kingsford. Now where did I leave those steaks

GH85Carrera 05-17-2015 03:56 PM

Afternoon folks.

We went to see the movie the Avengers. Good flick if you like superheroes.

Start Geezer voice: I remember going to the Saturday matanee for 25 cents. Popcorn and and candy was 20 cents more. We saw the news clip first, then a cartoon, then a serial and then the main attraction. And it was great! End geezer voice.

That is the truth and not exaggerated at all. Today the two tickets were $19.50 the popcorn and drinks (no candy) were $17.50 and lunch after the movie was at 5 Guys burgers and good but a bit salty. That was $20.

An expensive date.

Rick V 05-17-2015 04:04 PM

I can buy a decent dinner for the cot of Beth and I going to the movies, I haven't been in years, and have no plans to go anytime soon.
I am not going to pay mega bucks to be in a room full of people who can't disconnect from their phones for two hours and some sniveling high school kid trying to keep me from putting my legs out in the isle, because the seats are stuffed too close together, like they were built for 5-foot-10 people.
