Morning all.
Surprise surprise, it is raining once again. We should top 20 inches of rain this month. The old record for any month was 14.5. This is almost 9 months of rain in one. I would sure like to get back to a normal weather pattern. |
When I get a sore throat and try application of those nice distilled remedies it just puts me to sleep and I wake up with broncitus, I ain't got time fo dat.
Chicken broth, Not the low salt or low fat kind, and don't add any water. Heat on stove while mixing in a table spoon of garlic powder, and a 1/2 teaspoon of ground red pepper, or cayenne. Black pepper to taste (ha ha ha). When suitably warm pour in a mug and sip on it. Chicken broth has something in it that helps the white blood cells find and stay where the invaders are. The salt in it toughens up the tissues. The fat in it helps to keep the garlic and red pepper on the tissue in your throat. Garlic Powder is a natural antiseptic that makes it thru the digestive system and into the blood. The red or cayenne pepper has the highest natural concentration of vitamin C which makes it difficult for the bug to multiply and spread. The capsaicin deadens the pain and reduces inflamatioin. |
You guys don't even know what a sore throat is. Imagine if you will having part of the back of your throat cut away with a LASER beam.
I don't have to imaging it, I lived it. Twice! The doctor got carried away opening up the back of my throat and he ended up cutting off my uvula. I am without a uvula. The pain can be described as swallowing lava. Very strong medication only takes the edge off the pain. My eyes would water with every swallow. It was so bad spitting and drooling was better. Eating anything at all was torture, even ice cream. |
I love the BS you get when you are trying to sell something on Craigslist. I have the bike posted for $2800, which by my reckoning is around market value for it. Guy emails me today wanting to know if I'll trade for this.
1995 BMW 325i sell or trade I told him my BMW days were over. I didn't tell him, that his POS 325 isn't worth 500 in its current shape. One very sad E36. No saving that one. :( |
Can send you a check for the bike, but I'm out of town so my assistant will probably send a check written for too much money. She keeps doing that, would get rid of her, but she has huge tits. Just contact me when you receive the check and I'll let you know where to ship the bike and where you can western union the difference of the check and the purchase price plus shipping.

Honestly even an M car in that condition wouldn't be worth what he's asking. It's beat to hell and has a salvage title. Hell it's so dirty inside I wouldn't want to get in it!

Friend paid me to list his 944 Turbo. It was like pulling teeth to get information about the car from him to be able to post ads that would get a real response and not a bunch of questions. Had to keep telling him my goal was to only get responses to the ads from people that were genuinely interested in buying the car.
Here is the webpage I made for the car that I reverenced in the ads. He got one response within 2 months and the car was sold. Did the same thing with my first 928. With same single response and sale within 2 months. Did same with my rover and it didn't last past the first month. Because I listed the Rover on Craigslist I did get 2 low ball offers and one person that was going to come see it that never showed up before it sold. |

I like it when I post a car for sale on CL and some dude asks if I'll finance it for him or if I'll take payments.
Or when I'm explaining that I'm selling the car because we're downsizing/moving cross-country and he asks if I'd be willing to trade for whatever POS he's got. |
In potentially exciting news, a buddy just informed me he's just ordered a new Cayman GT4. He gets a new fun car every few years, so I've made him promise to sell it to me when he moves onto the next car. Must be working, as he's asking me what options to get and already refers to it as "our" car. :)
