Going walking in the country I can never get used to scaring up a covey of quail.

Ruffed Grouse for me. They sound like an unmuffled lawn mower when they take off.

My brother was walking through the woods on the way to his tree stand for some deer hunting and a couple of turkeys took off and flew a foot in front of him. He said he jumped back and was disoriented for a couple of seconds trying to figure out what all the noise was.

flipper35 09-16-2015 08:24 AM

A turkey nearly landed on me last year while I was standing on the point during deer season. I had the revolver out and him sighted when he finally veered off. Another half second we would have had turkey that evening.

RKDinOKC 09-16-2015 08:35 AM

Have to go into the office for a meeting this afternoon. Will be seeing a LOT of turkeys.

flipper35 09-16-2015 08:38 AM

Those probably require a different tag.

GH85Carrera 09-16-2015 08:51 AM

Well......

I just called the genuine Fuchs folks and talked to the source.

They would require a 35mm spacer or 1.31 inches both front and rear.

Imagine one like this only painted Grand Prix White not black.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442418285.jpg

These are real forged aluminum and lightweight. 16.5 lbs front and 17 lbs rear.

With the spacers and the shipping just under $3,400 Ouch, ouch ouch.

I am gonna dig around and try to get the weight and price of the imitation wheels before I spend that much. Heck new tires are going to be close to a grand or so. Ouch.

Toe Tag?

Those are hard to get unless you work at the corners office. One of the guys that I used to work with worked for the coroner office as a crime scene photographer and flunky helper. You sis NOT want to play the gross out story game with him.

At that photo-lab where we both worked we processed many photos for local crime labs when they were having problems. We were a commercial photolab. You never knew what print was going to come off of the processor next. It might be fun vacation photos or grandma hugging her grand kids. Or it might be horrible stuff. More than a few times new employees went RUNNING to the bathroom to barf after seeing a gruesome photo. We did photos of accidents and crime scenes for the court cases. We were all pretty hardened to it. There were a few jobs that were so gruesome the boss asked me to come in after hours to print them after a good employee quit because he just could not stomach the image.

I will stop there to spare your lunch.

Stuff like that doesn't bother me so much, but the smell of vomit will set me off. Also, watching someone eat a bug by biting it in half instead of putting the whole thing in to eat it. Yeah, that gets me.

GH85Carrera 09-16-2015 12:21 PM

Yea, it is a good thing we never had kids. My wife can't even think about puke without getting queasy. The sound or smells and she is a gonner.

GH85Carrera 09-16-2015 12:31 PM

Well......

The real deal forged genuine Fuchs are $3,400 and require spacers.

The Euromister replicas are $700. I see a big difference there. The Euromisters are not anodized, just a machined finish and they do weigh more but my wallet will weigh more with the Euromisters.

Hmmmmmm.

flipper35 09-16-2015 12:42 PM

But the weight of the wallet is sprung weight and you can put it where you want to offset the balance of the slightly heavier rims.

HHI944 09-16-2015 02:57 PM

Holy crap. Airbnb for the win. Hotel for my training was gonna be ~$800......got an above garage apartment near where I need to be for $250 and it has a full kitchen.

RKDinOKC 09-16-2015 03:00 PM

The spacers will weight something, don't forget to add that weight to the forged when comparing.

porsche4life 09-16-2015 03:01 PM

What about a set of 52 outlaw wheels glen?

RKDinOKC 09-16-2015 03:23 PM

Impi has some fuchs replicas that are 17x7et40. The Porsche ones are 17x7et55. The Euromeisters I found were 17x9et15.
