ahh.... gotcha. at 8mm, most sockets are gonna be 6 point, FOR SURE.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 09:55 PM

I know.... Which is why I didn't drive my car out of the shop tonight...

nynor 09-19-2010 09:57 PM

i bet a really small adjustable wrench woulda got that job done.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 09:59 PM

an 8mm box end wrench woulda got the job done on the trans side.... The wheel sides gunna be a *****! Hence the need for a socket...

slodave 09-19-2010 10:04 PM

I hate to say it, but why didn't you get the right socket days ago? Didn't you already have the bolts?

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:06 PM

I meant to but kept forgetting... and Honestly its RARE that dad doesnt have the tools I need... We were both pretty sure we had one somewhere....

dude, i was joking. that would have never worked.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:09 PM

That my friend is directly relevant to how bad the car needed moved.... I bet I could have gotten them good enough to limp the car somewhere with my leatherman tool....

nynor 09-19-2010 10:11 PM

just use some red loctite after making them finger-tight. they will hold.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:12 PM

JB weld!

nynor 09-19-2010 10:17 PM

huh. i never thought to use jb weld as a thread locker.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:19 PM

It'd be rather, uhhh, permanent.....

nynor 09-19-2010 10:21 PM

not as much as you might think.

so, why did the car need to move so badly?

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:23 PM

I was joking.... It has no need to move. I just really want it to be on the road for the car show Saturday... It will have to be trailered up there though.... The alignment is shot after all this suspension work. Hopefully I will get it back together Thursday evening. Wash Friday, show Saturday.

Morning guys!!

Weekend's over, I've seen the insides of too many bars yet again...
Had great fun though. I have been taking the same girl home a few times already these last few weeks. I don't know if it's gonna be more than just enjoying the pleasure of each other's company.
She's really nice though, funny, intelligent, likes to cuddle when we're alone together...
She is a great deal younger than me, nine years... Dunno if that should be an issue or not.

I want some more holiday too, not looking forward to getting up early this week.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:30 PM

9yrs... Is that all? That puts her in her early to mid 20s? Whats wrong with that?

Geronimo '74 09-19-2010 10:37 PM

She's 25, I'm 34, I just think it is a big difference.
The older you get the less important the difference becomes. (44 and 35 is different)
At my age (and hers) it just seems a lot.

nynor 09-19-2010 10:37 PM

9 years? seriously? as adults, that is not a consideration, in my book.

porsche4life 09-19-2010 10:39 PM

You're right... You are a dirty old pedophile... Send her to me...
