I don't think keeping busy will be a problem. On the other hand, I can keep busy working and get a nice paycheck too. Working just isn't fun or interesting anymore. Bad enough that I keep finding myself looking for jobs in Iraq and Afghanistan (for far less money). My age and experience/skills make me "overqualified" for most interesting stuff except in DC which is not what/where I want to be.

^^^ditto. We're prudent, but not tight with our money. I carry a lunch to the office every day. Our newest car at this point in time is my wife's clapped out 12-year old Jetta. The big expense for us has been the renovations to the house. Thankfully we bought the place when the market was right near the bottom. And now that we sold the condo, we're mortgage free on the house. Fingers crossed that our future retirement offers nothing but happy surprises.

I'm just going to die early. With my health and problems it is pretty much guaranteed there won't be much retirement time.
Hey, dad and granddads had it too.

So far only one bother has lived as long as dad, and he had a different mom. He has had several heart attacks and just about only sits around his apartment and looks up UFO stuff. And freakin sends me links to it.

GH85Carrera 12-10-2015 01:05 PM

My dad lived to 82. Both grandfathers lived to 78 with 1970s medical care.

RKDinOKC 12-10-2015 01:13 PM

My Dad and both grandfathers lived to 72.
Oldest brother is 71.
Brother only 13 years older already passed from MS.
Next older brother 68 also has MS and is only a couple of years out from what I see and the typical life span.
Am 56 and have as many or more health problems than any of them thanks to that MSRA and the disbetes complications that have followed. Freaking Nail. Doctors tell me that any day I live past that MSRA thing is a blessing.

Soooo... No hookers and blow in retirement? Then whats the point?!?!

Rick V 12-10-2015 04:29 PM

Evening Y'all,
When I retire they are gonna find me dead, face first in a key of blow that I will be trying to sniff off a hookers chest

RKDinOKC 12-10-2015 08:47 PM

Probably have hookers and blow both fed to me intravenously.
Some kind of viagra/cocaine drip. Drip, woohoo...drip, woohoo...drip, woohoo...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

LOL, I wish :D

It's more like

With the big question of to golf or drink more cider (TGIF)? The lightning in the background is a little disconcerting. I think the cider is winning :D

RKDinOKC 12-10-2015 10:59 PM

My vote is for cider. Lightening sounds a bit shocking.

Outback Porsche 12-10-2015 11:04 PM

Yup, a huge storm just sealed the deal

7mm in about 15 mins.

RKDinOKC 12-10-2015 11:32 PM

Need at least one more day to get all my tree limbs cut and hauled to the front yard before it turns winter again here.

Doin the worcation thing here tomorrow to get all done I can.

Worked a couple hours on it yesterday before dark, and it's a LOT a limbs. Doesn't look like I got much done.

Jim Richards 12-11-2015 03:22 AM

Buenos Dias, y'all

ckelly78z 12-11-2015 03:46 AM

I must be getting old, because I know I could handle the Cider and golf, but the hookers and blow.......not so much !

RKDinOKC 12-11-2015 04:52 AM

Just give the hookers the blow and watch em paint the town red.

GH85Carrera 12-11-2015 05:56 AM

Good Friday morning gents. As was pointed out recently all the women folks have abandoned us.

RKDinOKC 12-11-2015 06:22 AM

There were only three.
