We only had gusts up to 60mph last night. Lots of lightning. A local college had a building get struck and it caused an attic fire.

The CA I was going to evaluate for had a massive administrative failure. They contacted me yesterday to tell me that the evaluation was cancelled and will be rescheduled for next month......

Got a new toy though.

Wicked little blade. Perfectly smooth action and absolutely no play in the blade.

flipper35 03-16-2016 10:01 AM

At least next month isn't too far away.

Looks like a nice blade, how is it to grip? It looks smooth.

I was touching up the blade on my pocket knife with the Lansky, well our 6 year old finished it, when he asked how the blade gets dull and I told him I use it to open things and he said "Like deer?". I don't know where he makes these leaps in logic.

The grip is actually pretty nice. It's actually not a coating, it's just sandblasted titanium and has a nice texture.

Dude, your kid is gonna be a Ranger some day.

Ok now that I'm back lets see how long the network stays and running.

This morning buzzed by pretty quickly. This afternoon is dragging on and on and on.

I had a typical phone call from a customer looking for aerials. Yep we got em, where is the area? Done deal.

It was funny hearing her trying to pronounce Pushmataha, county with a Boston accent. I bet she would love to try Pottawtomie, county. Nowata county is pretty easy and everyone has heard of Comanche. Heck we have a Ottawa, Delware, Osage, Wa5hita, Caddo, Kiowa, Choctaw, Sequoah, Cherokee counties as well as Custer county.

Of course I work in the state of Oklahoma, in Oklahoma County, in Oklahoma City. Some of the founding fathers did not have much imagination. ;)

I can think of many things that would be worse.

He told us once that he was going to be a soldier and live at home. Once he realized a soldier doesn't get to live with mom and dad he soured on that a bit.

He once booby trapped my wife's office.

RKDinOKC 03-16-2016 12:00 PM

If you hear a native pronounce it...Nawlins is in New Orleens county.

RKDinOKC 03-16-2016 12:05 PM

One of my Nephews, the oldest of his siblings went to and is graduating from West Point.

His younger brother started west point this past fall.

Funny thing is, the young brother has wanted to go to West Point since he was about 10 and has worn cammo since as well. It was his desire that talked his big brother into going to West Point.

Oh yeah, he's gonna be a Ranger.

I was behind a cop in line at chick fil a. He was non-patrol and in tactical pants, a half untucked shirt (partially covering the butt of his weapon) and his spare magazine in the holder backwards...

flipper35 03-16-2016 12:26 PM

Did you help him with his mag? Maybe it was for a tactical reload when doing a monkey roll and that is why id was half untucked?

We watched one at the range in Yuma AZ shooting the 21' half sized silhouette and he got most of his rounds in the silhouette. I would have laughed if I wasn't shocked. How bad can you be and still qualify?

Another one told us of his time he picked up a drunk and they thought they patted him down well enough but he had the guy light himself on fire while handcuffed in the back of the patrol car. This is the one who couldn't hit a stationary 10" steel disk at 25 yards in 150 rounds. Nor could he hit a clay pigeon at 15' sitting in a holder.

HHI944 03-16-2016 12:31 PM

No, I just looked at him like he was retarded and tried to keep myself from slapping him.

flipper35 03-16-2016 12:44 PM

Let me guess, he was about 28 years old and the size of Tom Cruise?

flipper35 03-16-2016 12:44 PM

The other choice was 6'2 and 255 pounds.
