I know they are just trying to earn a living but dang, don't call bug me on a daily basis about it.

Glen I don't mind if they call once, they are in sales. But the FING Yelp sales people about got a firebomb from me. Told them no several times, hung up on them a few times... I'm sure I'm due for another call from them!

My cell phone is the only number I had registered for RE, so all those calls go to it!

Hey, cool another call. This guy was going to help me with my student loans! Cool!

I am not sure how that will work since I have never had a school loan in the first place. One recent spam message that was in the spam box is warning me that my home warranty is about to expire. Dang, next they will tell me the warranty on the Elky is about to expire.

My co-worker got the recent call from some low life scammers that his IRS bill was overdue and they were going to come arrest him if he did not pay them $1,200 by gift card today. He told em to bring it on and bring a big swat team so he can kill em all. We were armed and ready for Seal Team 6 to try to take us. I guess he scared them off because they never showed up.

I got the BS call from some scammer in India that was real hard to understand. He claimed he was from Microsoft and my computer had called them. With low life crooks I do go off on them. I told him I was sure his mother was a whore and his father was a goat and he likely has intercourse with cows. He hung up on me.

We get calls from Mediacom telling us we can save on our phones and they ask what we are paying now. I tell them to look it up and get back to me since we have our lines and fiber connection through them.

I just love it when those Microsoft support scammers call me saying my computer contacted them.
First I ask why any of the computers on my home network would contact them when I don't have any sort of support contract on them. Try get them to tell me it is some sort of Windows thing, leading them on as far as I can before asking them how in heck tarnation is my Windows computer contacting them when I don't even have a Windows computer.

Since I have Cox Business internet both at work and at home. Because it is business and has fixed IPs the monitor the network traffic for spam and viruses to make sure I am not a spammer paying for a business connection. They call if they detect anything and give me 24 hours to stop the traffic or they block my internet.

I've gotten called several times for the work connection when users have gotten viruses. Before we started using Microsofts anti-spam/virus that comes with hosted Exchange we got virus infections 3 times in 15 years and all three were from users with laptops trying to install software at home. We've gotten called 3 times in the year we moved to Microsofts "protection."

I've gotten called once on my home network saying I had a windows virus that was sending spam from my wireless network IP. Told them to double check because I had no windows machines and wanted to know if someone had hacked my wireless password. They rechecked and found it was coming from a spoofed ip not my network and they would take care of it. Also had them block all outgoing port 25 traffic on all my IPs except for my mail server.

Tried to get all port 25 traffic blocked at Kimray except for the mail servers and the network guy would not do it, idiot. That is the first rule of firewalls, block connections for everything except your mail servers IPs on port 25 and only allow outgoing on port 80 for your surfing IP.

Speaking of those oddball people, did you know it isn't possible to see stars when you are in outer space. You have to have an atmosphere to make them visible.

From 1947 until 2004 we had AT&T phone services here at the office. Out of the blue and for no reason we could figure out they decided to start charging for every long distance call we made. We had a unlimited free long distance plan so the bill jumped WAY up. The owner called At&T and he told the first agent he talked to that his bill was screwed up, and they had just one hour to get it straight or he was going to be a former customer. After one hour and 45 minutes the agent said OK, that get everything fixed. He said thanks, but I will be calling another company for phone service because I have better things to do than spend this much time trying to fix your screwed up billing.

We have been on Cox phone service since then.

Oh come on. So the Hubble telescope is just making it all up?

The atmosphere only blocks the light and makes the stars twinkle. If one was on the moon at night, the stars would be glorious. All humans visited the moon in full daylight. No stars in the daylight. The folks in the space station could see stars when they are on the night side and out of the sun.

Where did you hear that?

Don't tell me I needed that in green!

A couple "guys" brought it up on another forum. The stars also twinkle from all the gasses in space as well. That's why they twinkle more than the planets. I think there is some twinkle in their brain myself.

Just got back from taking Pepper to the groomer. Pepper starts getting excited and happy as soon as I pull into the parking lot. She must like her groomer. The groomer says Pepper likes taking a bath too. I just take Pepper because I'm embarrassed to admit I'm too squeamish to trim her nails myself. Didn't have to mess with trimming Cambers nails. She trimmed them herself.

Old school model building works wonders. We don't have a 3D program that would allow for dynamic movement of parts. I needed to prove that I could lift logs (telephone poles) out of their cradle after treatment. Boss thought I was nuts but I printed scale drawings and made a cardboard mock up. Worked great.

And you save your company many thousands not having to buy more software.

Unless you boss is the free range organic cardboard and make sure you recycle type of guy. Then how dare you abuse that old tree!

Our companies founder always made wooden scale models of everything he designed. Some working models some not.

The only thing he ever used a desktop computer for was to play solitare. Until he figured out it's card shuffling routine repeated every 750 times. He wouldn't say how many times he played it to figure that out.

I just realized that , sadly, she hasn't seen that movie. She hasn't sat through the entire MP Holy Grail movie either.

That borders on wife abuse! I have Blazing Saddles on my iPhone. It is easily the best totally stupid comedy ever. 90% of the move is a quote worth repeating. It appeals to the 12 year old in me. Come to think of it my wife thinks is is just a stupid movie but what does she know.

This has the campfire scene at 49. His order is all off. The campfire scene is one of the great movie clips of all time.
