Never had a hamster. Did have a Gerbil for a short time. Neighbor girl stabbed it with a pencil while her and her Mom were visiting my Mom. I was at school. Replaced it with a Great Horned Owl owlet. Went from prey to predator.

For several years out of college had a 120 gallon salt water aquarium. Had several fishes. Actually had a Blue Tang like Dory and a Clownfish like Nemo except it had all it's fins. Had 4 Damsel fish, blue like the Tang, with yellow tails. They are supposed to swim in a school, but you couldn't have divided the tank into 4 equal sections any better than they did. Had a brittle star, which is like a starfish but moves fast enough you can see it move.

Wanted an octopus until I found out you can't seal a tank well enough to keep them from getting out. Decided getting up in the middle of the night and stepping on a octopus with my bare foot would not be a pleasant experience.

Had to keep buckets of water setting out to evaporate off the chlorine. The tank itself evaporated off 3 gallons a day that had to be replaced to keep the chemicals balanced. Guess I just didn't have the top of my tank sealed well enough.

Wish I would have had one fish that was as much fun as one of the salt water fish at my chiropracters office. When I came in it would hide in the coral and rocks and slowly peek out in different places until I looked at it, then it would dive back into the coral. The girls in the office said it would swim all around the tank looking for me in the office when I was in getting my adjustment. Then, when I came out, it would dive back into the coral again. They said when I left out the front door it would go back to swimming around like it always did and I was the only one it did that with. Told them we were just playing peek-a-boo.

Pretty sure most of the other patients in the waiting room thought I was nuts slowly walking around the tank, then stopping, looking at the tank and saying peek-a-boo then laughing. As I would walk away the fish would slow come out of it's hiding place. When I would turn towards it and say peek-a-boo it would dive back into hiding. Every once in a while one of the other patients would comment, "Hey, you're playing peek-a-boo with that fish!"

We took Louie to the vet and she told us he had pneumonia. She sold us antibiotics and said to give him Gatorade but that he may still pass.

I stopped on the way home to get the Gatorade and came back to the car to my daughter crying. He passed away while I was in the store.

We buried him in the yard in the critter cemetary. We will make a gravemarker tomorrow.

It cost $98 at the vet so I called and asked if I could a refund on the medicine. "Sorry, we can't do that." Wonderful.

Tell her I said Hamdolences

Think my vet would have taken the pills back.

Had the guy selling the cayenne send me a pic of the console and it doesn't have air suspension like he said it did. So, the deal is off. Back on cayenne watch 2016.

Found a white one with a tan interior, problem is it also has the panoramic sunroof. Understand those are rattle traps.

Morning fellas.

Daughter had a rough night. She was doing ok until bedtime and her little buddy wasn't there. She was up several times upset. We finally let her sleep on our floor. I didn't expect her to be this devastated. She's a tough cookie.

Anyhoo, Happy Hump Day!

Wayne, loosing any loved pet is tough. More than a few mom's were happy at the death of thier kid's pet rodent, but the kid was upset. We had hamsters as kids. Even got into breeding them for a while.

Hey it is Hump day!

It is also Windows update day. We have everything from multiple installations of XP, 7, 8.1 and 10 systems. Two of the laptops are used just for the airplane for mapping missions with the film camera. They don't get used as much as the newer stuff that runs the digital system. We bought a roll of film from Agfa for $3,200 per roll. They sent a nice letter that basically says go take a flying leap. They are not manufacturing color film anymore. They quit making the decent ISO 100 over a two years ago. Now even the crappy ISO 400 is gone.

The good news is Hollywood came to our rescue. The story we heard is Hollywood went to Kodak and said they would buy enough movie film to make it worth the effort. The exact same film is perfect for aerials. They just cut ours in 9 inch wide by 450 foot long rolls with no perforations like movie film gets.

Are the updates for your company or everyone? I ask because our computers are running extremely slow this morning.

No it is every computer running Windows. The XP update is just the malicious software removal tool that gets downloaded each month unless you have Office on the XP computer. Then the Win 7 & 8.1 and 10 updates. It would be interesting to see the servers Microsoft must have all over the globe to administer those updates. The bandwidth must be extreme.

The laptops we have that are not used often also get the anti virus updates. It always just staggers me that the updates can be a couple of hundred megabytes per computer. I was on my third or fourth computer before I had a 200 MB hard drive. Now we have updates that we download that are bigger that the entire hard drive I used to have.

I updated the windows in my house to double-pane a few years ago. I'm very pleased by their performance. Oh yeah...Saturday!!!

Sorry about the loss of Louie, Wayne.

Do all Winders puters grow like that. My 7 Pro with Office 10 (I only use Outlook) and remote desktop are up to 100gb hard drive space and just keeps growing?

Run Disk Cleanup and that will eliminate un-needed files like downloads and old updates.

Maybe I should make a Win10 Virtual machine and start playing with that?
How big of a hard drive does it need to run office and remote desktop in Win10?

Office is pretty big and I have no idea how much space it needs. The free upgrade to Win 10 is done. It will cost $129.98 I think just to try it. It would be interesting to see what a fresh install would take.
