Don't know what happened. There for a while I was trying to prevent sparrow farts. Must have done too well!

You know Glen, the older you get the more ready you are to go to the bathroom early in the morning.

Yep. Until I was in my late 50s I virtually NEVER needed to get up at night to pee. Now it is 50-50 if I sleep all night. It changes the meaning of an "all nighter" to not getting up to pee.

I never complain about getting old. It is a privilege denied to many. I can't avoid getting older, but I don't have to grow up.

RKDinOKC 10-18-2016 03:04 PM

Ha ha ha ha...

You've heard of sleep apnea. That's where you wake yourself up snoring.

When you get older you get sleep peenea. That where you wake yourself up to go pee.
When you are younger you just wake up with morning wood instead.

Think I've got sleep fartnea. That's where you wake yourself up farting to go to the bathroom for more than just peeing.

Woke up way way way too early! Going back to bed.

Yea, and maybe someday you will have the 928 back. Maybe.

Good Humpday everyone.

I had a customer call last night just as I was turning the lights off to go home. I was a nice guy and answered the phone. It took a while to get him to decided on what he wants. I will have to take an extra long nap to make up for all that overtime! ;)

flipper35 10-19-2016 06:01 AM

Richard, one would hope the elder pepper wagon will be gone when the 928 comes home.

We are moving to a new AV/management solution. It is good, but the process is, well, lets just say I am glad I have no hair.

Went by the local Porsche Dealership with the red one yesterday. Wanted to talk to one of the salesmen..he was away getting schooled. Got greeted by the new Sales Manager. Knew the old sales manager and he was a nice guy, but was not known for good deals. People would go to Dallas to get new Porsches cheaper. This new guy made the statement that he wasn't nearly as emotional about the cars and was about selling them not getting top dollar. Said he is also carrying more used cars because he knows not everyone want's to pay for the depreciation of being the first owner.

Told him I was going to tell the salesman I knew that my car was for sale and he insisted they evaluate it. Told him I knew they couldn't give me near what I wanted for it and he wanted to evaluate it anyway. The took the car for 45 minutes. Said it was in excellent condition, couldn't find anything that needed servicing. Would buy it for $4600, list it for $10K and probably sell it for $9K. Told him that's what I figured their offer would be, and that he quoted average condition KBB values. And that NADA says excellent condition values were $8,975 trade in and dealers selling at $11,475. They said NADA has been running a couple of thousand high. Their trade in evaluator/buyer is the area buyer for KBB, LOL

Morning all. Two more days till I drive all night to Bend.

RKDinOKC 10-19-2016 07:32 AM

Kinda like driving at night any more. Not near as much traffic. As long as I got me some beef jerky to keep me awake if I get sleepy.

Porsche-poor 10-19-2016 07:56 AM

wouldn't be doing it except I have to work part of the day on Friday, the kids don't get out of school till the afternoon and the funeral is 10 am Saturday.

RKDinOKC 10-19-2016 08:05 AM

Just trying to put a positive spin on it

GH85Carrera 10-19-2016 08:11 AM

I really hate driving on the interstate at night, especially out in the country. Too many deer out there.

This must be retro day.

I have a client that we flew a job for that wants analog 8.5 x 11 prints of the images and a CD. He did not care about a CD until I did a little sales job. Heck the CD is just 10 bucks more. Each print is that much.

We also flew a fracking job well site. Actually two sites within a couple of miles. Mega millions of dollars involved with all that equipment and they were tire kicking out cheap prices. We fly an airplane out to the remote site and uses an expensive camera and charge a several hundred and they squirm about that. I bet they are spending that much in 1/10 of a second when in operation.

Porsche-poor 10-19-2016 08:34 AM

I know Richard. Thanks for the up beat pep talk. I used to love driving at night just not anymore.

GH85Carrera 10-19-2016 09:06 AM

Golly computers are fun! ;)

I have several customer projects to get out and my main workstation decided to now would be a good time to have the boot drive die. It is a mirrored drive so no data loss but now I "get" to take the system apart, figure out which drive is NFG and put in the replacement and then have a slower system while it rebuilds. It is a 2 TB drive with 1.3 TB of data. I figure 4 or 5 minutes to rebuild right? ;) I wish.

RKDinOKC 10-19-2016 09:51 AM

Don't know about deer, but Hyundai says it's zombie proof.
