Joe, are you allowed to take your phone to work when you go? You can get a lot of video on 2TB.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2016 12:25 PM

Woo hoo, got the Turbo back!!!

Finally got it in as good a shape as the S.

Yup. We're on private contracts rather than Gvt so much fewer issues with things like that.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2016 12:43 PM

They going thru all this stuff to make sure you aren't a pirate? Or are they just testing to see if the pirates are patient enough to get on a boat?

If I were in charge it would be free Javelins and GoPros for all employees! (or equivalent item at the employee's preference). To bad the rules at ports are too screwed up.

RKDinOKC 10-14-2016 01:29 PM

Would think if you approach a vessel without specific permission and clearance the vessel should be able to sink you with extreme prejudice. If there are ports that don't like it, stop calling on their ports and see how long it takes for them to change their "rules." Especially since I understand they don't do nearly as well at protecting vessels under their jurisdiction as they think.

In the book "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson one of the characters, Raven, rides a motorcycle with a nuclear bomb in the sidecar that will go off if his brain activity stops.

flipper35 10-14-2016 01:50 PM

A thermobaric punted over the approaching boat would be better than a nuke. Paint it up like an angry bird and let Joe loose with the oversized slingshot.

I would pay good money to see that actually.

They provide helmet mounted cameras (not gopro, don't remember the brand, they're on a flip mount that activates them when they're flipped down)
The hangup isn't my personal paperwork.

I still think a MK19 would be ideal for the task. The USCG agrees, but only for their boats/personnel

RKDinOKC 10-14-2016 09:29 PM

Didn't think it was you. Figured they were trying to go thru whatever they go thru to try to make sure they aren't putting pirates on board.

GH85Carrera 10-15-2016 06:05 AM

It will be busy morning for me. Off to the PCA breakfast, then boogie over to a meeting with the Mercedes club about our charity joint car show next week.

Oh Haha 10-15-2016 06:31 AM

Hey fellas, its Saturday.

We are going to the inlaws so I can cut the grass one last time and put a marker on Mack's resting place. It isn't fancy but we all had a part in making it.

Enjoy whatever you do today.SmileWavy

RKDinOKC 10-15-2016 07:33 AM

Get to go play in the Turbo today!

GH85Carrera 10-15-2016 02:19 PM

Stijn!!

Got the meetings done and got home to start projects. I tinkered in the garage and then played fence lineman. I removed a 8 foot section of chain link that the neighbors put a stockade fence next to. I did not need two fences. That was fun.

GH85Carrera 10-16-2016 08:10 AM

Oh boy this morning Mrs Carrera "let" me cut down the remainder of the 20 year old crepe mertle and clean the koi pond. Now I'm am going to clean up the 911 in for next weekend's big car show.

RKDinOKC 10-16-2016 03:33 PM

So since she is getting all professional with the gardening accreditation does that raise your status or at least title?

Dig holes - Ground Preparation Technician
Remove Crepe Mertle - Tree and Stump removal Technician
Clean Koi Pond - Water Feature Technician
Mowing - Grounds Maintenance Technician

GH85Carrera 10-16-2016 03:41 PM

Yea, and my paycheck for that work went up 10 fold. ;)

Jim Richards 10-16-2016 03:51 PM
