Thanks Wayne.

Did my best to offer some advice AND try to sell my S. Hope it doesn't get moderator removed, or even better someone sees it and decides they just gotta have my S!

That's what I was hoping for! SmileWavy

He is one of the good guys here on Pelican, I don't think he will have any issues and will appreciate the info.

For some reason this seems very familiar.

I bet a few of you guys have experienced that phenomenon.

They are mowing the grass at work today. This is nuts. It is November!

Jim Richards 11-17-2016 10:17 AM

That's insane.

GH85Carrera 11-17-2016 10:21 AM

I likely will mow the grass at home this weekend for what I hope is the last time this year. I may have to mow the back yard once or twice in the winter since we planted fescue and winter rye in areas that get too much shade for the Bermuda grass. That stuff will not freeze out and will slowly grow all winter long.

Porsche-poor 11-17-2016 10:24 AM

I'd love to mow my lawn today in the rain but its over 600 miles away.

That is understandable, you are in OK. Here where I work, in Dubuque, there should be snow.

Jim Richards 11-17-2016 12:00 PM

I always thought winter started right after Halloween when I was growing up in the great white north.

RKDinOKC 11-17-2016 12:06 PM

It is supposed to be cold and rainy here in OKC. Usually a Thankgiving day of the low 50's and sunshine is considered a warm sunny change.

Oh Haha 11-17-2016 12:19 PM

It's warm here today. 66 degrees just a minute ago. "They" tell us that colder temps and winter weather is coming soon, though.

A couple years ago it got bitter cold in the beginning of November and stayed that way all winter. That absolutely sucked!!

Porsche-poor 11-17-2016 12:36 PM

61 right now on Santa Clara 42 when I got out of bed.

I'll be mowing today and trimming the hedge - getting the yard all tidied up before we go.

How's the sight seeing Jim? We're getting really excited now, just two more sleeps. Unfortunately we can't get there direct and have to have a layover each way in Sydney, but I get to catch up with my best man over dinner Sunday evening. Which is cool as I only get to see him every few years, and it's like we are never apart and just saw each other yesterday.

Unseasonably 78°F and Sunny with 25mph winds from the south.
Smokin a burger on the grill was a delicious choice for lunch.

Since was still hungry for some cajun since the Zataran's was foobarred, mixed some onion, garlic powder, coriander, red pepper, and white pepper into the burger meat before smokin, cheesed it with pepper jack...tasty. Didn't have any seranno pepper to chop up and add to it, but was still goodness.

Porsche-poor 11-17-2016 12:52 PM

I just ate and you are making me hungry again.

RKDinOKC 11-17-2016 01:04 PM

I can make some burgers!

Will have to get some ham and swiss. Mix 50/50 ground beef and ground ham, and mix in some chopped up mushrooms and swiss chees, then grill it. Haven't tried a Ham and Swiss burger on the smoker grill yet. Until today have been pretty enamored with just smoker grillin burgers.

Mixing in some onions, green chilis, and chili powder in the meat before cooking makes a pretty good chili burger without the mess of making chili.

I did a chicken and a beef stirfry on each smoking hot barbie plate last night. Smothered everything in oyster sauce and sliced Birdseye chilies that I had pickled in rice wine vinegar and soy sauce.

Porsche-poor 11-17-2016 01:06 PM

sounds yummy I'll head that way. lol

RKDinOKC 11-17-2016 01:34 PM

Haven't tried stir fry type cooking on the new smoker yet, but should be able to the holes in the grill are really small. Think it's because of their infrared cooking thing, heat without a lot of air movement.

I remember that. I was outside at 6:00am in the -15* weather thinking that the deer aren't stupid enough to be moving in this crap, why was I out there? Oh yeah, tradition. Tradition sucks some years. This weekend should be decent.
