Friend of mine moved the Cali a hard working conservative republican.
Moved back a liberal democrat without a job.
While in Cali introduced me to a Vegan friend, we met at a steak joint.
The Vegan character didn't like that I ordered and ate a steak at a steak joint know for good steaks?
After some Vegan bs I made the comment that they went ahead and slaughtered the cow,
that the best I could do was eat it so it wasn't just senseless killing and didn't go to waste.

Introduced me to another guy that had a really nice house.
He was retired at a youngish age and dressed like a 60's hippie, tiedye, flipflops and all.
Was going to do some artwork for a project he was working on...
Then he somehow decided I was a biggot and didn't want to see or hear from me again.
Told my friend to tell him that I didn't make any conscious biggoted comments and if he was going
to disassociate with me then he was being a worst biggot than anything I could have said.
Nothing has ever happened with his project that I've seen or heard about.

I've noticed something.
Both my out of work friend and out of work brother are super focused on watching the news.
I can't really stand to watch the news. Seems like it's all commercials to me.
Employed people I know don't seem so focused on having to watch the news.
Is watching the news something you have to do when unemployed?

You'll have to excuse me, I have a horrendous sinus thing going on and am on all kinds of sinus/cold remedies.

Retired people are supposed to watch the weather channel, not the news.

Listed the Cayenne on Autotrader. Got two offers to pay with paypal. Just have to say sorry, I only accept cash, bank transfer, or check/money order, and the check/money order has to clear my bank before I will release the car.

We got en email from the vendor of one of our programs that cost more than my 914 did new. They suggested we can install an update to the graphic card that does the 3D. OK, so I did. In the middle of the video card update the screen went dark as is typical for a video card driver update. The bad news is all we had to look at was the mouse pointer on a black background.

Of course our pilot is up flying in overcast weather to get a project done for a client that is all hot and bothered to get the data as soon as possible. We have to get the computer up and running to do the job. I could not even get the system to show me a BIOS screen. Just darkness. Arrrggghhhh

Fortunately we have an a good looking likeable very humble and modest genius of a guy that does the computer tech support around here. I had to dig around to find an old video card that is pretty basic and runs 1024x768 max res but it let me get into Windows 10 and noodle around. I finally found the phantom driver and killed it with extreme prejudice. I then deleted all the video drivers for the cards that did not want to work.

Then reinstall one of the huge video cards and install the drivers, install the second card and take out the ancient card and reset all the settings. Just a simple 10 minute update took 5 hours. We are back up and waiting on the data from the pilot.

That crap that Rick hates is here. Of course I hate snow as much if not more than Rick. He has Peggy, the attic warrior to get around in. I just have my same old El Camino with two wheel drive. I guess it is time to go battle the idiots and morons on the road and get to work.

Well 3 inches of snow and snow packed roads was no big deal. Just the predicted jerks in jacked up pickups that are in a hurry.

we are still below 32 for the moment. supposed to warm up.

The Macan is scheduled to arrive on March 17th, just a few days after or 25th anniversary.

We got married on pi day, 3.14 and we are calling this our mutual wedding present to each other. She gets an new car and I "get" to wax it and maintain it. ;)

Sounds like she is the smart one...........

Yea, and she is retired to boot and I am still working!
