What happened? That looks kinda like either a medical treatment facility or one of those expensive themed hotels.

pete3799 04-18-2017 02:16 AM

Pretty sure that's not part of retirement training Jeff.

GH85Carrera 04-18-2017 05:22 AM

Yea, my goal is to stay out of hospitals until after my 100th birthday party.

I hope all is OK Jeff.

It was real foggy this morning. It was weird in that the fog was at the elevation of the hills. I go up and down a few hills and valleys on my commute. The hills were super foggy and the valleys were clear.

As I was getting off of the interstate there was a pickup tailgating a 4 door sedan. He was maybe 3 feet from her bumper and she was just chatting on her phone in oblivion. When someone gets that close to my bumper I just start slowing down until they go around.

Jim Richards 04-18-2017 07:10 AM

What, no pics of lovely nurses? Oh, yeah...I hope you're ok, Jeff.

:D :D :D

Mertnin.

Usually in those themed hotel room things they just provide uniforms an don't hook you up to machines or anything like that.

GH85Carrera 04-18-2017 09:45 AM

And you can stay at the presidential suite of most hotels for cheaper room rate.

Do you get a sponge bath?

Note: The term sponge bath is in reference to when the hospital staff has a person come in and bathe you when you are bed ridden and cannot make it to the shower. It is in no way expressed or meant to be interpreted or imagined as any type of sexual innuendo. If you interpret it as such it is your own responsibility to deal with your ingrate mind and not in any way my fault or responsibility.

I don't know if any of you watch Street Outlaws. This is the shop of Daddy Dave.

No we are not getting the Macan worked on. There is a store that sells rock like what we bought. We did not buy there but Dave has a open clear parking lot.

Well, it is the last few months of retirement!

flipper35 04-18-2017 01:44 PM

Oh, the daughter bought one like this, but in a 5 string.

flipper35 04-18-2017 01:44 PM

OK, that is a little bigger than it was on the preview. Sorry. At least Richard should be able to see it. :)

RKDinOKC 04-18-2017 02:02 PM

Still blurry if I close my right eye.

Have one person interested in my Saxophone so far. Told them to bring a couple reeds by and honk on it. Looks like the going price is about $5K.

flipper35 04-18-2017 02:29 PM

I have no instruments worth even $.5k. Not that I mind.

Pretty good investment for something that doesn't take up a ton of space.

We just got back from taking the garage queen out for a few hours. First, we stopped at the Oceanside harbor and walked around a bit. Then, we headed inland to Palomar Mountain. The road, South Grade Road, is super twisty and a favorite of the crotch-rocket crowd. Being a mid-day Tuesday, the mountain was pretty much ours to zoom up and down. I earned husband points by stopping at a roadside fruit stand to let my wife shop to her heart's content. And we'll top that this evening with a Taco Tuesday outing with our fellow old-people.

Jeff, are you still with us? Nurse pics, man, nurse pics!

RKDinOKC 04-18-2017 07:08 PM

Nurses look like this...

GH85Carrera 04-18-2017 07:12 PM

None looked like that at the hospital I was in. They were wonderful professional nurses, but nothing much to look at. I preferred the competent ones!

RKDinOKC 04-18-2017 08:02 PM

Maybe it was the pain killer goggles. Or more likely because they were giving me something to make the pain stop.

The Olympics being on at all hours and having my laptop with Kodi (glad they had Wifi) sure made the hours more tolerable.

Outback Porsche 04-19-2017 12:56 AM

Hi all,

I had a minor heart attack on Monday arvo. Feeling fine now but they've done all the tests they can do here in the boonies and can't find the root cause. Being flown to Adelaide in the morning by the flying doc.

Outback Porsche 04-19-2017 12:57 AM

Yet to find a nurse that looks like that Jim :D
