Dad always said, "If you are not in bed by 10, go home and get some sleep."

RKDinOKC 03-07-2015 04:30 AM

Good Morning.
36°F now, forecast high today 64°F.

The roads here are dry, and the crap on the ground is going away quickly. I have a feeling by tomorrow evening the only white crap is going to be where it has been piled up.
When I got up it was 16, now it's 25 and we are heading into the upper fifties all weekend and 60's for the week. I was woken up by a bird this morning, spring is here.
Richard, your dad sounds like a very wise man

Colder here and still lots of white crap littering the landscape. Still, I think this marks the beginning of Spring. The 10-day forecast looks very promising. Knock on wood. :)

Beth is still blathering about the gun sight being broken on her car. Damn one would think I took a thumb or something. The part was ordered, sheesh

Oh Haha 03-07-2015 05:20 AM

Rick--what is this gun sight that you broke on her car?

Back in the day the night was just getting started at 10pm.:p

Beth drives a Mercedes and she refers (as do a lot of people) to the star on the hood as a gun sight. The car really does look bad without it

RKDinOKC 03-07-2015 07:06 AM

Yay, I was able to figure out the automotive gun sight reference on my own.

Have a relative that lives on a big ranch in Colorado. They have an old ford pickup with a net made out of a coat hanger mounted where the hood ornament goes that they use to rum down and catch quail on the ranch. That is a wild ride.

My Elky has a hood ornament that is the bow tie on both sides. The Elky is soooooo filthy the logo is brown on the side that does not face the road. I really really really want to wash it but I "get" to drive it to Enid for a free lunch of mediocre BBQ.

That sounds dangerous. A Russian that know Krav. At least she isn't a red head.

HHI944 03-07-2015 09:13 AM

She was pretty tough

Rick V 03-07-2015 11:02 AM

A Russian woman in your sights? What could possibly go wrong?
Look what followed my son and I home today.

Weirdest malf on the AR yesterday......somehow, the roll pin holding the gas tube in the gas block sheared and the tube shifted forward, completely occluding the port and giving me a bolt action AR......when I pull the gas tube out to replace it, I noticed that there was a hole burnt through the tube directly above the port where gas enters from the block

Oh Haha 03-07-2015 12:17 PM

Wow, ALL the frikkin' idiots are out today.:mad:

Had a generic old bat almost drive right into the DS of my truck....while waiting net to her at a red light. I noticed her front wheels turn our way and then she started moving. I honked the horn which must have woken her up as she then backed up and I went around her. I watched in the mirror to see her continue to go into the right, blocking the cars coming in the lane.

Then, my daughter and I got fuel and were heading into the station to pay when jackass #2 roared away from another pump apparently not seeing us. I still hold my daughter's hand when in a parking lot so we were not in immediate danger but still...

Saw lots of DB parkers out there as well.

Off to another open house. You guys sure you don't want to buy a nice retirement place?
