I was looking at my spam box and making sure no good email was trapped. I broke out laughing truly LOL at one. It was from some other country, and it was an message from some architect magazine. They wanted to give us an award for the design of our building.

It is a 30 year old metal building. It has no windows at all, just the foyer over the front door. It is about the archetype of a plain old box building. The weeds need to be attacked with a weed eater and some roundup. Yep, we deserve an award for this place. ;)

Its got a cash award to I bet......

It is a handsome metal building with the nearly new signage and all.

You probably just have to pay the administration fee and it is all yours!

I like my job some days other days I get a help desk ticket and the entirety of the thing is:

spiceworks and workhub

Yea, the sign on the wall is 11 years old and starting to fade. We like our monster garage relaxed and casual. Only the one motorcycle and a 50 inch lawn mower parked inside. The rooms that are now just storage used to be darkrooms and they are painted Matt black. The light switch is 7 feet high on the wall in both darkrooms um storage rooms.

Hey it i really a decent building in a good location, it ain't pretty. The bright RED carpet in the front office is really lovely. ;)

My job rocks!

Hey the old boss here loved his job here. In his words he took "early retirement" at age 92. It was something to keep him busy. I figure if I can retire before age 92 I have him beat! ;)

My college house mates Dad retired for a whole 3 weeks. His wife made him go get a job because "he was driving her crazy." He was a food broker for Heinz and went to work at the bakery of the local grocery store.

To my credit, the ramps worked perfectly for first 25+ loads of dirt, mulch, and gravel.
However, in the end, the "hold my beer and watch this" mentality won. Oh well... "Mission Accomplished!" :)

Leaky, are you sure it wasn't too much holing beer in your belly at load 26? :)

Porsche-poor 04-26-2017 07:13 AM

morning all. Going to be a fun weekend. I'm going to help a local friend replace his brake pads on a 1967 912. I'm hoping for not much drama.

Unless there is a lot of corrosion or bad brake pistons or frozen bleed nipples it is a super easy job. I change my brake fluid on the 911 every single spring. I am overdue right now since we have not had any autocrosses after losing access to our track.

I still have the factory original brake master cylinder on my 911 and the El Camino.

Whale watching cruise. They charge half-price on Tuesdays, so we went out and saw a half dozen gray whales and dozens of dolphins. :)

Porsche-poor 04-26-2017 08:44 AM

At this point I have no idea. I am hoping for an easy time of it but........

whale watching on the beach is cheaper. oh not those kind of whales.

flipper35 04-26-2017 10:05 AM

At least whale watching like Jim the motion sickness is from your own motion.

Porsche-poor 04-26-2017 10:11 AM

or is the motion sickness from watching the whales shake off the sand.......oh wrong whales again.

flipper35 04-26-2017 10:13 AM

My point exactly.
