That were a delicious Lunch.
Been a while since cooked a good skillet steak. Rubbed a sirloin with black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and some thyme. Heated up a skillet coated with a little lard and tossed the steak in to sizzle. Turned several times so it didn't dry out the browning. Pulled the browned steak out medium and dropped on a plate. Slathered it with some butter, spooned a little cilantro salsa on top, and covered to rest. Served with a few tortilla chips...yum! |
My wife is of course retired. Tomorrow the alarm system repair folks are supposed to be there between 8:00 AM and noon. She has to get up at 7:00 so she can be ready. She was looking for sympathy that she had to get up "early" and the repair guy likely won't be there until 11:45.
I keep getting alerts that the north garage door sensor has a low battery. That is impossible since it does not have any battery at all. |
When I had my ADT alarm service for the "I've fallen and can't get up" pendent for first my brother, then mom...about once a year the battery on the alarm unit would die even though it is a high dollar rechargeable battery. The battery store I started getting cheap replacements from said the alarm system's recharge circuit was overcharging and killing them.
The Alarm all still works, makes lots of noise but doesn't call anyone since I am not paying for monitor service. |
Good lord. That bikini pic.

Cold, not him. I don't go shirtless for fear of blinding a satellite with the glare from my whiteness, but shorts I could do.
Shirtless man proves Wisconsin is on another level when it comes to snow |
I lost my cold weather mojo a long time ago.

Not going to mention our local weather out of deference for those less fortunate.
Lunch was so good, no idea what to do for dinner. |
The local news just said our snow fall total for this winter is more than 2 feet below normal.
Wouldn't hurt my feelings if it stayed that way but..........winter isn't over yet. |

Guy that worked for me's wife tells him he can look all he wants as long as he comes home to do anything else. His brother was a strip club bouncer. One of the first i'd heard of, back in the 80's, he told us about a girl they knew that shaved hers. Said she was real proud and going around showing it off. His wife even let him touch it saying she would never do that to hers.

Interesting, company I work for is auctioning off a bunch of stuff they aren't using this week. It's a closed bid auction.
One of the projects I am working on is an ad campaign to not print if you don't absolutely have to to save on paper costs. Just about everyone has a printer in their office instead of area workgroup printers. |
Well, it is difficult to watch programs you designed, and programed be replaced with newly written programs that are trying to do the same thing (but not using a mac), yet are way more difficult for the user causing more mistakes, don't do as much and even doesn't actually do the one main thing the program was created for.
Just don't understand the management mentality that allows this sort of thing to happen. Can understand them wanting to get rid of the Macs because they just don't like them, but not when they can't do the task with their programing environment. What really gets me is you can get the programs I used for a PC now and move my work to PC's. I even did a very good job documenting the program with comments so you could tell exactly what and how I was doing everything. Oh well, Say LaVee. No wonder they are having trouble making a profit now that sales are down. |
