Wow. A reminder popped up on my computer for a luncheon appointment. As I dismissed the reminder the alert for that same appointment came up on my iPhone. Right after dismissing the reminder on my computer the alert on my iPhone dismissed.

Knew that if I received a call or text on my iPhone I could answer or respond on my computer, and that I could initiate calls and texts on my computer and it would use the iPhone. And knew email and calendar events were sync between them. But didn't know reminders were linked up so cancelling one place cancelled them everywhere as well.

Everyday, something new!

The weather is beautiful and I am stuck inside today. I might have to check the fiber where it enters the building.

Porsche-poor 06-06-2017 09:50 AM

very nice here to. I drove the 911 in might have to take the long long long way home.

flipper35 06-06-2017 09:53 AM

I would bring the Cobra, but there is still a pile of rocks where I would pull it out of the garage.

Yep, nice enough day to be out. Took Pepper to the Bow Wow Bootyque, met Glen for a catfish lunch, gassed up the Pepperwagon, got a frappuccino, picked a clean and trimmed Pepper from the Boutyque, and took the long way home.

Wasn't the only one that thought it was nice out...traffic was much heavier than usual and noticed the policia out en mass, blue lights flashing with vehicles stopped divvying out the mandatory "pay the man" notifications.

Porsche-poor 06-06-2017 01:32 PM

hey Glen I have a favor to ask. If by chance you run into any Kilkenny Irish Cream ale in cans or bottles before you head to Spokane and have room I'll take 6.

The fiber appears to be fine. Had to walk around a bit to "find" where it goes in. I didn't want to walk too fast, you know, in case I missed it.

Porsche-poor 06-06-2017 02:07 PM

worse yet tripped over it and pulled it out of the building everyone might have to go home........

flipper35 06-06-2017 02:14 PM

We have a contingency plan for that. No downtime even. so I could still go home while everyone else gets to work.

Porsche-poor 06-06-2017 02:16 PM

well I tried.

Morning all.

I went to the dermatologist yesterday. At my age I have a standing appointment every year. I gew up in Hawaii back in the stone ages and I ran around all the time in shorts. No shirt, no shoes, just shorts. I even went to school like that. Anyway all that sun exposure was fun at the time, but not healthy.

No real problems so far but the dermatologist always finds something to zap. His office is run the way every professional's office should be run. They ask me to show up 15 minutes before the appointment time to double check the paperwork and insurance cards and pay the co-pay up front. It takes 6 or 8 minutes to get through that then sit down in the waiting room. Withing a minute they call me back, the nurse asked if any changes bla bla bla. Take off my shirt shoes and socks. The doc comes in looks me over and most visits finds a place on my face that he zaps with liquid nitrogen. And he is gone. I go to the front desk to set up the appointment for next year and I walked out one minute after my scheduled appointment. Done.

I told the office manager there on several visits they run the office like a well oiled machine and they should put on seminars on how to run a doctor's office.

My regular primary Physician, Pediatrist, Dentist, and Sensitivity Trainer run their offices that way. My Dermatologist and Eye Doctor are time scheduling offenders that I sometimes have to wait over and hour for.

They ought to have it setup so you arrive 15 minutes early. And for every minute you have to wait after your scheduled appointment a minute's worth of billing is deducted from your bill. As an example my physician schedules a office appointment to last 15 minutes. If I am called in more than 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, it's Free!.

My old dentist would give you 10 minutes to make your appointment. Any later and you were refused but still charged. I was late once and she wasn't going to see me until I reminded them of that time I waited almost an hour.

morning all. the wife and I have been on the phone all morning fighting the insurance idiots.

flipper35 06-07-2017 08:29 AM

Good morning.

I think sometimes they put the people with no listening or reading comprehension in those positions on purpose so people will give up.

GH85Carrera 06-07-2017 08:47 AM

Insurance companies are in business to take your money and not pay claims unless they HAVE to. Some are much better than others.

Porsche-poor 06-07-2017 09:58 AM

they all want my money and also want to point fingers at who is at fault and not take any blame.

RKDinOKC 06-07-2017 10:06 AM

Surprised at all levels of employment at the lack comprehension AND the desire to actually learn what they are doing. But then again management told me "It's not what I say or how I say it, but I make people feel stupid" AND "We don't know tp do with you, you are too good at too many things."

The last pick on Richard talk I was told "If you want to retire from this company, just keep your head down, do only what you are told, and don't make any suggestions." This was while paying monthly for 600 Office365 licenses while waiting a year for consultants to move our users from an internal Exchange server to Office365 when I have a certificate that says I can do it. Made the mistake of reminding my managers.
