In today's environment looking at let alone mentioning anything about breastases in the presence of a female will get a male in serious trouble.

It was bad enough with the grocery store moved from less than 1 mile away to 2-1/2 miles. It is a complete travesty that it is now 5 miles away. Argh, what is the world coming to.

I gather the camera work went fine for David since he has been in proper form today!

The girl's surgery went well. Not as long as it could have been but they got started late trying to get the IV going. She was glad she to them to wait on that until the last minute. She even woke up normally instead of all loopy like mom was. By the tie we were going home she wanted to eat at the Greek place but they said no greasy food and falafel, being deep fried, was not on the approved list.

Good to hear!

I usually wake up from anesthesia in a really bad mood.

Got the vacuum line from the dealer and grabbed a cheap autel code reader at Walmart. Gonna keep my eyes out for a used snap on and just wait.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2018 12:08 PM

camera work went fine now we wait on the biopsy results.

Glad to hear she is a trooper and is doing better.

Yay on the good recoveries.

First time I woke up from anesthesia I was in a hallway outside the recovery room and there were 6 big orderlies holding me down yelling at me to shut the $@#! up. I was upset because the doctor told me it wasn't going to hurt and it did. Overheard the nurses talking outside my room later. They thought I was demon possessed because I woke up so violently. Evidently I had made quite a scene.

When they put me under the second time to remove the pin from my hip to my knee the doc told me it would hurt when I woke up and they couldn't give me anything for the pain until the anesthetic wore off. Woke up without any problems.

When I went back under the knife for my hip replacement (long unimportant story) it was on a Sunday and the O.R. was vacant except the team working on me. They just wheeled me into the O.R. and had me in the nice relaxed mode level as they set everything up. I asked them where the machine that goes BOING! was and the doctor looked puzzled by the said the sold it back to the leasing company at half price to get get a machine that goes bing! I knew he was a Monty Python fan. The anesthesiologist did not have much of anything else to do that morning so he just chatted with me. I asked it I was going to get to count backwards to 100 and he said nope, he would just turn that little adjustment and I would be out instantly. I watched him reach towards it and the very next second I was in the recovery room. It was a real magic trick.

RKDinOKC 01-25-2018 01:12 PM

Yep, still got it. Haven't gotten around to putting it on Craigslist yet.

Is a 1st Gen iPad mini with 64GB ram, Wifi, and Cellular.

PM me your address, will split the shipping depending on how fast you want it.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2018 01:24 PM

You have a PM. This will be a great thing for the wife to replace a google tablet she has now that she has gone all Apple.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2018 01:26 PM

Oh and no real hurry, just safe and sound is best.

RKDinOKC 01-25-2018 01:38 PM

If she don't like it should be able to get your monies back easily. They are listed around here for $100.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2018 01:43 PM

New PM and payment sent.

Thanks.

I have one of those code OBD-II things that has wi-fi. i suppose I should hook it up to the truck and see if it reports the actual operating temperature.

Porsche-poor 01-25-2018 02:02 PM

probably report everything but what you want.

flipper35 01-25-2018 02:08 PM

Probably so. The temp gauge does not reach normal operating temp and it has a new thermostat, again so I wonder if it is something else.

flipper35 01-25-2018 02:08 PM

Oh, it only happens when it is really cold out.

so its air cooled.

flipper35 01-25-2018 02:33 PM

Feels like it some days.

Mopars have never really had the old LA based V8s warm up when they would sit and idle but this one has a new radiator and ever since it doesn't get "warm" when it is 0* or colder.

The Cobra does eventually get warm when it idles but that little LA block makes almost 1.25hp/cid and the radiator is really undersized for that application. It doesn't have an ODBII port though.

GH85Carrera 01-25-2018 02:43 PM

When it is zero my 911 flat will not get up to normal operating temp. It stays at 170 or so. I guess the air blowing over the cylinders is enough to keep it cold.

The El Camino does great for heat if the water pump is working right, and the heater core is sealed up. After one time of getting into the evaporator and heater core area the dumb moron that worked on it (I think it was the boss man here) did not seal up the heater core properly. It would not blow good hot air. Finally I had to replace that heater core and I made sure it was sealed up and no air blew past it. It made a major difference.
