NOOOOOO!!!!! That means Friday will never get here.

Friday will get here if I have to beat it over the head with a stick.

Things are looking better this afternoon compared to this morning. I also know there is one guy we will never hire for consulting work again.

My computer has been running hard. The new program finished one project that looks goo so far.

Skip beating Friday and beat the consulting guy....

Kinda met our new IT Director. Last 3 years has worked for The Museum of the Bible. They just opened the Museums here in OKC and in DC this past November. Not sure what his IT role was though or how that would have anything to do with product manufacturing and sales. Seems it would be more interactive media presentation to me. Whole IT department is supposed to have a meet and greet lunch with him tomorrow.

failed his way to the top?

RKDinOKC 02-14-2018 04:30 PM

All I can really say is...I was told specifically to keep mouth shut, and only do as told.

Has been interesting to watch the company change over the past 46 years.

Morning all.

My wife has been reading a lot of books on her iPad. They are free from the Metro library system. She likes to read in the morning after she wakes up, and just read in bed. Our female dog likes to wait on my wife to feed her in the morning. She was reading until almost 9:00 AM and the dog decided enough is enough and came to me to feed her breakfast.

You never know what the breadth of experience may be. I went from a software publisher to a media company to healthcare. Though days like this I wonder why. Had an argument this morning early with one of the staff. Our IT has someone here from 6:00am to roughly 5:00pm. I am not one of the 6:00am people but this staff person decided to wake me up to let me know they could not connect to the internet. When I suggested they call the extension of someone who was on campus and therefore better able to troubleshoot the issue they proceeded to argue. When I got here I found out it was her public connection on her phone that was not working.

Have I ever mentioned I hate people? I might need a lot of sticks.

Morning all.

Let me know in advance so I can set up a cart out front and sell you the sticks as needed. Of course at a PP discount......

FYI

Got the nickname "The Stick" playing pool on Friday nights with friends. Was the first of the group to bring and use my own pool cue. It has a laser sight on it.

So, are we talking hickory, ash, oak, maple? Finished or with the bark, treated, leather handles? Maybe send a couple samples so I can see what I like?

Porsche-poor 02-15-2018 09:22 AM

I was thinking 1/2" dia metal tree limbs.....

flipper35 02-15-2018 09:40 AM

Ah, titanium, chromoly, stainless? I am liking your ideas better as the day goes on.

Porsche-poor 02-15-2018 10:04 AM

The harder the better.

GH85Carrera 02-15-2018 10:04 AM

Dang, this working and thinking is hard work.

Gonna have to go fly again this afternoon. Only high thin overcast. Kinda windy, but high thin overcast is good flying weather for most clients.

I am trying to streamline some of the projects and do them in a way first for my reference and the customer does not get the files. But it is my base line info. Then process the client info and reduce the overall image area just to make FTP faster and the files smaller. I need a nap but the mean boss has me slaving away.

Bob Dumont, the patriarch of the local family owned Porsche garage passed away. He will be missed.

He's doing hot laps in the after life.

Where the gas never runs out and the brakes never fade!

RKDinOKC 02-15-2018 02:53 PM

He was into the dragster scene for a while. Was the first one to put a wing on the back of a dragster. It was the tail off a plane from the local military junk yard.

He also raced 914s. He was also on the crew of the GT40's.

When I got my 914 back in 1984 he put a sticker under the hood of cars he maintained. If a Porsche listed for sale had a Maintained by Dumont's sticker it always got top dollar.

Used to spend a lot of time listening to his stories when I took my Porsches in for service.

Asked him about cryotempering for brake rotors when it first came out. He talked about using dry ice and alcohol to cryotemper push rods on hot rodded 911 motors to keep them from bending,
