over $100, i'd wait a month. hell, you've already been pretty ethical. strong work.

good evening, gentlemen.

Stijn!!

I think there is a sliding scale. 1000 bucks will have someone looking in a day. 50 bucks or less most folks figure it is gone, so just a couple of days.

RKDinOKC 12-26-2010 06:51 PM

I'm thinking the reasonable wait for owner to claim a lost item is two weeks. Places like libraries, schools, and airports that have longer wait periods, up to 60 days typically give any unclaimed valuables (including cash) to charity not the finder.

Was it that, uh, er, $283 dollars I seemed to have uh misplaced? Yeah, that's it...I misplaced it. :-)

If it was A fifty.... face down..... pointing west.....it's mine.

Rick V 12-27-2010 01:23 AM

Morning Guys. Okay anybody going to claim these 3 dollar bills?

slodave 12-27-2010 01:51 AM

How'd I miss this. I dropped those bills. Thanks for finding them!

slodave 12-27-2010 01:53 AM

I've been following your thread. Very nice. :)

slodave 12-27-2010 02:10 AM

The fun's just begun. Behind the scenes, we are spending hours looking at video, pictures and talking about how to tackle each step. It's about to become difficult.

Rick V 12-27-2010 02:11 AM

You have been making very good time. :)

Dave, you are quite the craftsman. I haven't been following your Gibson thread, but it looks like you're doing a good job!

For the rest, this day hasn't started well for me. I'm hoping it will pick up later on.
I was trying to get to know this girl, but she kept me at bay for so long.... We got into an argument about it and Ï guess the friendship is over now... Sucks

Rick V 12-27-2010 02:19 AM

Well a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work

slodave 12-27-2010 02:25 AM

Sorry to hear that, G. :(

Geronimo '74 12-27-2010 02:36 AM

Yeah well, Ït's really F'ed up, but I can't really do much about it.
Funny thing is, I'm not even trying to start a relationship or anything. I don't even know what she looks like. It's like keeping a toy dangling just out of reach from a pet for too long, eventually it will loose interest. You shouldn't blame the pet for that.

RKDinOKC 12-27-2010 02:46 AM

So, isn't that guitar going to be a 2011 slodave?

slodave 12-27-2010 02:56 AM

At this point, it looks that way. :D

GH85Carrera 12-27-2010 05:46 AM

Good morning fellas.

Back to the office. I am working on my second cup of coffee.

I am still trying to figure out several things on my iPhone 4. For some reason the contacts app is on a page all by itself and it does not want to be on the home screen.

I got the new wireless router and Apple TV working at my dad's house. He has an iMac and to get it to see the router I had to tell the iMac that it was in a new location. It is still in the same spot on the same desk in the same room but it was not going to play nice until I told it that it was in a new place with a router.

I would have never figured that out without a phone call to RKD. Thanks Richard!

With a PC it just sees the router and everything is easy, with a Mac you have to stroke it's ego and tell it that it is in a better or at least different place and to play nice with it's new friend, Mr. Router. Sheesh!

My MIL has an 5 year old PC that was a snap to set up with Apple TV.

Yeah it's just weird that a Mac sees a PPPoE connection as a completely different connection than Std Ethernet and all. Sounded like your location (network configuration set) only had the PPPoE interface configured and no std ethernet so it was easier to have you make a new location. A new location defaults to an ethernet, wireless, bluetooth, and firewire all with DHCP and no PPPoE.

Glad it worked for you.

GH85Carrera 12-27-2010 09:31 AM

Stijn!!

Fortunately I knew just who to call! Thanks!

RKDinOKC 12-27-2010 03:04 PM
