A spot of glue will hold that in place and sill let you pull it up later if you need to. This wall was all glued at the store. We bought it as a demo. $350 for everything including gravel for it. They disassembled the wall and delivered it and we build this one and glued a couple layers.

That must be tough glue to last in the weather and the expansion and contraction of the stones.

Our male dachshund is a short haired black and tan that has to be part lizard. He is the coldest natured dog I have even known. Even in summer he gets cold in the house. We will go outside on a 100 degree day and lay in the sun, up against the brick wall on the concrete sidewalk.

He hates cool or cold weather.

All summer long we lock to side gate to keep him out of the main back yard because he will go on hunts and get into the flower beds and cause issues looking for game. In the morning just after I start the coffee I go unlatch the side gate and he goes out the back door with me to do morning patrol and make sure his yard is varmint free, and chase off the passing lions, tigers and bears, buffalo, and wolf packs and elephant herds.

In the summer he leads me towards the back door like Lassie when Timmy is trapped in the cave again. I always ask him if little Timmy is trapped, and he runs to the back door.

Now that the weather has cooled off, little Timmy is on his own. He will go out back to look for crippled mice or squirrels just laying around as easy picking, but as soon as I come back in, he comes with me. No fun hunting in cool weather.

The glue stick good but releases via some sort of magic as far as I know. All I care is that it works.

Our beagle would make laps of the yard all day with his nose to the ground. Right now he is tearing the yard up getting to the moles. The moles do more damage than he does so we let him. Mostly.

GH85Carrera 10-09-2019 12:22 PM

We had a mole problem for a little while. Mostly in the front yard. Then one tried to got in the back yard. Reuben was shoulder deep in a mole hole with his tail wagging like a runaway metronome. My wife got close to him and he knew he was not supposed to dig in the yard, but it was like he said, sorry I can't help it. Had he waited 30 minutes for the mole to get further in the yard, he would have got the mole. Mr. Mole turned around and went back under the fence and escaped. We put out mole poison, gummy worms. The moles vanished.

I think the beagle would just dig up the gummies for himself. He is a major foodie!

GH85Carrera 10-09-2019 01:31 PM

we only used the gummies in the front yard. They are a poison infused gummy. We would never use them around the dogs.

Wow, Brent! That’s a lot of yard to mow.

Ah, I have heard gummies or Juicy Fruit work on them. Might have to get traps if the gum doesn't work.

Jim, it isn't that much. Takes 1.5 hours or so with the rider. We are surrounded by farm fields though.

perfect no neighbors!

Jim Richards 10-09-2019 02:46 PM

1.5 hours? Mine takes 15 minutes (incl. edging)! The picture you posted before makes it look like you have vast acreage. Had me fooled! :)

Did a little bush hogging a few weeks ago. The leaves are disappearing rapidly now.

Pete’s place is really nice. At least in the summer when I was there. I have seen the pictures of Pete’s thermometer in the winter. Wow. No way.

Tonight is the big "coming out" or introduction of he new 911 the 992.

Anyway the dealership is spending some coin to have a fancy party. The have rented a place called the Caliber. You can do a Google image search for photos of the place. Very high brow. The owner lives there, and has his private car collection.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1570714349.JPG

This is just one the 6 or 7 Aston Martins he has. It is a Seperleggera. Two Ford GTs and lots of other cool cars. The dealership is renting one floor of his garage to park the new 911, and they asked the club for members to bring a few older 911 models. Mine is representing the G body era.

If you look in the background you will see an almost 45 degree angle slope. That is the ramp I had to drive up to get to the second floor. It is crazy steep, and all you can see if the roof, and the ramp. So I hit the ramp at 2 or 3 MPH, and floored it, and the engine pulled me up, but I could tell it was working hard. Then get of the gas and on the brakes to turn. My wife did not want to ride up with me.

Tonight is the big party. It was going to be on the roof area, but the weather is coming in and cold rain is not fun for a dinner party. I will take some pictures of the setup.

GH85Carrera 10-10-2019 07:43 AM

Right now it is 76 degrees and really nice. Today at 3:00 PM a front is supposed to come through and make thanks cold and wet. Down to high 30s tonight. THe weekend is gonna be purdy though. The autocross on Sunday looks nice weather wise.

Porsche-poor 10-10-2019 07:52 AM

My weekend will probably be spent raking leaves. That and making sure the college kid makes it home for home coming dance this weekend.

Jim Richards 10-10-2019 08:04 AM

We’ll be in DC and Annapolis, and then on to NYC for most of next week. Maybe we’ll get to see some fall colors. :)
