Merry Christmas guys.

My old computer is having problems with all the hard drives in there. The 5 - 10 TB drives must suck a lot of power and the boot drive just adds too much load, and drives keep dropping out. Add in the load from all the cooling fans and it just seems to have issues. It has a 550 watt power supply now. So I ordered a 850 watt supply. It will be a pain to unplug everything from the motherboard and such and then just four screws to remove the old PS and the same 4 screws to put in the new.

Mele Kalikimaka, y’all.

Merry Christmas to all.

RKDinOKC 12-25-2019 12:03 PM

Christmas and it's 70°F here.

Jim Richards 12-25-2019 12:06 PM

58 degrees here. Brrrrr.

GH85Carrera 12-25-2019 04:10 PM

Yea, 70 degree Christmas is the best. Trillion times better than a white Christmas. This might be the first Christmas since I was a little kid that I never left the house. My MIL and one of my wife’s nephews came here. Nice and laid back.

We had a nice Christmas over at our son& DIL’s house. Our grandson looks a bit larger than we remember from before our trip to Hawaii. After his feeding, he quickly zonked out when I read to him. It appears that my voice is perfect to bore him to sleep. It’s nice to know I’m good for something.

GH85Carrera 12-26-2019 05:37 AM

Welp, the day after Christmas. A great time to go hang out at the Wal-Mart return area, or Target, or any mall's customer service area. At least I suspect that is likely, I will not be going to check it out for sure.

RKDinOKC 12-26-2019 06:40 AM

You aren't re-gifting? No fruitcakes?

GH85Carrera 12-26-2019 07:14 AM

Nope, all the gifts I received were just what I wanted.

Moring all. I hope everyone got a good visit from Santa. Currently 32* and foggy. I'm hoping the fog is not going to start freezing.

Happy Boxing Day, y’all. It’s 44 and raining this morning. Looks like I might have to hole up inside for a while.

GH85Carrera 12-26-2019 08:05 AM

We are going to be sunny and back into the 60s soon.

Jim, that storm gets here for Saturday. We are supposed to get rain, and the state could use some as it has been a dry December. Of course we will be driving in the El Camino, over to El Reno to go to a wild and and crazy birthday party for my wife's aunt. She is turning 90. Toga Toga Toga!!!

My Elky will get all dirty. :(

Is Boxing Day when you put out for trash collection all the boxes from the stuff you got on Christmas?

You are supposed to break down the boxes, and stuff them into the recycling bin to be a good citizen and green!

Just don't bun the boxes in the trash pit with diesel fuel and old tires.

RKDinOKC 12-26-2019 11:20 AM

My SIL saves the boxes AND PAPER to re-use. She yells at anyone that does not unwrap gifts by ripping the paper!.

Unfortunately I will get payback in a week or two when it is temps beginning with the minus sign. :(

RKDinOKC 12-26-2019 02:22 PM

in the recent past we've had blizzards for Christmas and ice storms for New Year's Eve.

Guess we can blame it on Global Warming, whatever the actual cause. Probably extraterrestrials slowly terraforming our planet to be more like Mars.
