150 sounds reasonable for removing tint. Some shops won’t even do it because it’s such a pain.
I have a car that needs it stripped because my tint guy is a prima Donna and won’t strip old stuff. 😂😂😂 |
From what I hear, it takes a heat gun, and patience and strong fingers.
|
I wouldn't do it myself if someone else would do it for $150.
Sunny and warm (for February) here today. All the ice has finally melted off the driveway so I imagine it will be warm today so all the drainage goes on the driveway and it will get cold and freeze on the drive. Oh well, at least it won't last. Richard, if I were in the market I would buy your 928 in a heartbeat. It is the right color and a manual. The other stuff is all bonus. |
Pay the man, Richard.

Yesterday was 74 degrees. Right now it is 68.
Late today the dang Canadians are sending some cold air, and a front. Possible 2 to 4 inches of snow. With luck we will miss it again. The ground is pretty warm so the crap should not last long. Just make it clear, I much prefer 68 degrees and partly cloudy to **cking cold and snow. I don't even have to shovel sunshine. |

The 4 hours was their estimate for both removing the tint and cleaning up the windows.

When window tinting was first getting popular one of my neighbor's 16 year old kid decided he needed to tint his windows. He was too cheap to pay to have it done. So he did it himself. He was not smart enough to know to peel off the inside clear covering, so it had horrible looking visibility that just got worse and worse as it aged. He came to ask if I had any ideas on how to make it stick down. I suggested he peel off the clear layer. That came off in chunks since it had been on so long, but he spent the time to get most of it. Then it started fading and turned purple. Pretty soon I was calling him Prince just to tease him because it was so purple.
He finally decided to peel it back off and he was out there in the hot summer sun roasting inside the car peeling little pieces. I remember mowing the yard, and then getting a shower, and grabbing a beer to go check on his progress. Nothing better than a neighbor standing there, drinking a cold beer, making smart ass comments, as he sweated like a race horse peeling off little pieces and cussing. He was not happy. I have often wondered if he has any tinting on his car's windows now. |
Well today the cold rain starts. As least it does not have to be shoveled.

Morning all. Had a few minutes to catch up from yesterday and the weekend. Lots of CAD to be done and more today.
We saw spitting snow and have cold temps. Had to scrape the car this morning to drive in. |
So you are just gonna be a total cad today. Just be that way!
|
That's me!!!

we have white fluffy stuff moving in a vertical direction but not landing or sticking at this point.

I hear Denver has 4 feet of that snow crap. I sure hope it all stays up there and they don't share any at all.
|
So far this is the fun to watch kind but not sticking kind.
|
It is cloudy, cold, and damp outside. It's just like it was winter.

My nephew lives in Golden, CO and I texted him today to ask how he like the snow. He said their company has a "snow day" if it is more than 6 inches deep. He has been off work, playing in the snow that is waist deep, and he is 6 foot tall.
