true, one might get a tad wet after only a on hour or so.

My very first airplane ride was in 1959, going from LA to the territory of Hawaii, in a C-54. We were going 190 MPH, unpressurized, at 10,000 feet. Nothing but waves to look at. Oh, and you sit facing the tail, so we were going backwards the entire trip. Just a mere 2,560 miles, so only 13 hours and 45 minutes in the air!
I actually asked my mom "mommy, is this where we live now?" As a little kid I was bored to death. Sitting in a airplane seat, just the drone of the engines, and nothing to look at out the window but endless waves. As dad was a pilot, he made us stay seat-belted into place unless we had to go to the bathroom. Then it was walk to the bathroom, and get that done ASAP, and back to the seat, strapped down. I honestly don't remember what the meals were, the flight itself is one of my earliest memories. I do remember dad was in uniform, and mom was dressed up like they were going to a fancy wedding, with a hat, and gloves and nice dress. I am sure it sucked for her even more trying to keep two boys from fighting and making us behave. |
We leave Sunday. First leg is 7 hours and 25 minutes, second leg is 3 hours and 45 minutes.

You are trying to get as far away from home as possible I guess.

Close to it. Germany.

Dang, this work thing is like.... working!
The customer project we flew on Saturday is mostly routine, except for one of the three areas. They want it rotated so north arrow is pointing to what is normally west. My mapping programs just do not like it when I have to rotate planet earth 90 degrees. It is real chore to make a photo with the north pointing 90 degrees off. My brain is hurting from outputting pieces of the final image to print, and then reassemble it in Photoshop so everything will look nice on their conference room wall. Photoshop does not care if North is pointing at what ever you want. It is just a set of three 40x60 prints for the wall, so I they will be happy. Whatever, they pay their bills promptly so whatever they want, I will "make it so!" |
are you done yet? if not I want it rotated 89.999999 to the left.
|
Usually the worst fear is they want it at a different crop.
What parts of Germany are you going to visit? Stuttgart? |
Morning all. We fly into Munich, then Salzberg, then Berlin. After that the last two days are in Brussels then home.

Germany and Belgium, the motherland of great beer. I know you are major beer lover! ;)

Those are off limits to. Timing is everything and this is bad news.

Like going to a steak place and just ordering a kale salad. |
I'd sooner jump off a cliff. I'll probably get to taste a few but I will not be having a whole one to myself.
|
Morning all. Two in the office one at home then gone for two weeks.
|
I finally got the 90 degree rotated image done. What a pain in the butt.
|

Glen I changed my mind can you rotate it 180 degrees back to the right?
