This is from the professional photographer that was there. I will buy all the images of my car, and this one need the bugs cleaned off the bumper and valance. I did a quick clean up but I did not bother to do the rest as I was going to track it, and drive it home.

It is filthy now.

Porsche-poor 10-10-2023 03:24 PM

Nice one!

GH85Carrera 10-11-2023 05:44 AM

I got up early today to go wash my 911 in the shade of the house. Our driveway is shaded in the moorings as it is perfect place to wash a car.

Time to go wash the boss's car. Afterall, he did pay for my motel room, track rental, and let me drive the car and have THE most fun that is possible in a car, with your clothes on.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2023 07:01 AM

Morning all. Yea better get it washed before he takes the toys away.

GH85Carrera 10-11-2023 07:48 AM

It is all washed and cleaned up, except a vacuuming.

I had to do some real work, and on a project we flew, they want a bunch of large prints, some as big as 4x5 feet!. Also some smaller prints down to 11X17. I would never submit a image to printing until I saw a test print. So I had them print just one of the 11x17s, and give it approval. Their printer does great prints, but a lot darker than the prints looks on my monitor. So I have a setting to change the gamma and contrast on my video card to match their print. I then make it look perfect, and save the file in a folder called to print. Then I change my monitor back to normal. I don't know if it is my setup or their printer setup, but as long as I can get beautiful prints that our customers love, I don't care.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2023 08:09 AM

Happy customers means the boss lets you have access to the toys.

Is is a video of a friends of mine on the same track in his Corvette. It is just a tad, (OK a lot) faster than mine.

He is a very talented driver, and braver than I was.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2023 01:04 PM

yep looks like a lot of fun

Here is a track map. The track is basically 4 miles long.

The track entrance has a long white line, and they told us clearly, do NOT cross that line. They have cameras on everything, and they said crossing that line will get you a black flag. It is turn one, and when up to speed from the start finish line, you want to be slowed down and on the apex, as it is a steep hill off camber, and you will slide into the tire wall if going too fast.

It is a steep uphill through 2 and 3 and then 4 is nicknamed the patient turn, as it seems to go on forever, and again the outside is fairly flat, but the inside is very steeply cambered the wrong way, and make a spin easy. 5 is easy, and leed to a super steep hill, and I shift into 3rd at 60 MPH and hit redline and 95 MPH rapidly. I wish my car would accelerate like that on flat ground.

Through the esses, a slight turn at 7 and then the fun, the roller coaster. Mostly kinda sorta straight, but HUGE elevation changes. From 7 is is a steep downhill back to redline in 3rd, into 4th and at about 100 at the top of the hill. Only once did I stay flat on the floor and the front end got squirrily and high pucker factor, but on down the hill and then back up at 8. It is a real tummy twister. My sun visor kept flopping down and on one session, I pulled in early to tighten it up. Turn 14 was my scariest one. Most of the track is high speed curves, and all of a sudden 14 is tight as heck and it almost sneaks up on me.

Turn 17 and 18 are tight, but no surprise, and it is where pit out is.

I did 140 miles of track time. Over 1/2 a tank of gas. For some reason a lot of wide open throttle sucks up gas.

We had two 911 GT2RS show up to run. It is just amazing that my 911 evolved into a 700 HP monster like that car. It is a couple driving it, and they split the seat time.

They just have two track before this one, and I have a lot more tracks I have been on. I have a new decal ordered for Ozarks International. Just waiting on it to appear in the mail.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2023 01:48 PM

both of you would out run me

GH85Carrera 10-11-2023 02:28 PM

There was one guy that always followed my out on track. He was in his 993 4S. Way more power, and 4 wheel drive, ABS, and much more advanced car. He said I drove away from him. Overall we were all out there just to have fun, and my only goal was to drive my car home with only some of that pesky unsprung weight from the excess tire tread and brake pads reduced. ;)

I was on track with cars that had 700 HP and it was amazing to see them come up behind, and I would have to put my arm out the window and point to the side I wanted them to pass on.

I just stayed on the gas, and he blew past like I was slowing down.

Porsche-poor 10-12-2023 07:02 AM

Morning all. Not much going on here today.

GH85Carrera 10-12-2023 07:40 AM

I am going onto my lawn and walking around behind the lawn mower. It is 67 degrees, overcast and WINDY. I should not be too sweaty when done.

Porsche-poor 10-12-2023 07:51 AM

to wet here for that. But I will probably have to rake leaves this weekend.

GH85Carrera 10-12-2023 10:27 AM

It was only 71 as I finished, but annoyingly windy.

Another of whatever this is blew over. This one was blown out the flowerbed.

A few of the photos from the fun day! THE most fun you can have in a car, with your clothes on!

Porsche-poor 10-13-2023 09:26 AM

Morning all. Nice pictures!

GH85Carrera 10-13-2023 10:23 AM

I emailed the photographer, and asked for all the photos of my car, package price and in the original camera RAW mode. That allows me total control of the image exposure, contrast, and ton of other factors in making the photo look perfect.

With a white car, the camera is exposing for the overall scene, and the body lines tend to be blasted out to just a white blob. With RAW, I can change the exposure after the fact, as RAW is all the sensor data and the exposure can be set during the conversion from RAW to TIF or JPG. Yea, just Photoshop geek talk. As I have been using Photoshop back when it was Aldus Photostyler, that was bought out by Adobe and turned into Photoshop, back in the DOS days.

The most astonishing feature with RAW, is we shot an oblique angle photo of a large campus, with downtown OKC in the background. It was a typical hazy day, and one feature of RAW is a slider bar for "dehaze" and I kept sliding it over, and wow the haze was gone. It blew me away.

Raining mostly horizontal today. I hope I am done mowing for the season though. Seems odd to mow when we could start getting snow.

Looks like a fun track.

Blackhawk Farms is close to me a nd pretty popular.
