The 911 is washed and put away in it's spot in the garage. I need to clean the interior yet, but that would require a round of car swapping ans the work bay is where the El Camino is normally parked.

Everything is BRIGHT right now. I went to the ophthalmologist this morning. I had a 7:15 AM appointment. That is when I normally just get up. They dilated my eyes, and man everything seems bright. My pupils look I am high on peyote.

The Indians would take peyote in preparation of a night raid. It dilated there eyes, and made them a bit crazy and less fear in the face of battle.

Thought my waterpick was dead. Have not used it for months after many times of trying the restart procedure. Tonight, the wife suggested I change the brush head. Low and behold it charges and brush and water functions work.

How in the world the brush relates to the charging/ operation is beyond me.

Welcome back to the living!

So many of my former co-workers with kids were constantly sick. They all had the little infected kids getting exposed at day care over and over.

I love that picture of the GM keys you posted. In high school I had a 79 Camaro that you could pull the keys out of the ignition while driving down the road. And you had to make sure the steering column was locked when parked or it could be started without the keys.

My El Camino had two keys until just last year. I changed the ignition lock as it was worn out totally.

Now just the door key will also do the ignition. I have never locked the glove box in 32 years so unlikely to need it now.

Our guest have left. Now it in laundry time!

Ha, your keys stories have reminded me of when I was a young teen.

I told my next door neighbour Mark how cool it was to do 60mph down the country road, put it in neutral, and turn the key off. Mark did that but put the steering lock on, and went into the grass on the side of the road while he wrestled with the steering. I still don't believe it was my fault LOL

I carried these two keys for nearly 30 years. They were worn smooth and getting very thin. The ignition key was so worn I could pull the key out with the engine running. Then one day, I dropped them on the concrete, and the ignition key broke in half.

The door key was so worn, I had to have just the right touch and a few wiggles, and hold my tongue to the left and stand on one foot to get the door open. I decided after the key broke, to get a new door key from a master that was not used much. The ignition switch was replaced when I had to take the steering column apart to replace the turn signal switch had broken and would not work right. The ignition lock was just a simple swap with a new GM switch I bout 20 years ago for stock. I had the new ignition lock re-keyed to use the door key before I installed it.

Stuff one must do every 370,000 miles or so on a GM G Body vehicle.

We had the PCA region breakfast this morning. Great turnout.

Then the boss's wife informed me I had some honeydos to do. The concrete birdbath has a crack in the basin, so it leaks. I was allowed to move it too the back yard so she can clean it up, and I "get" to apply some concrete caulking to the crack to hopefully repair it, and stop the leak.

Then I was allowed to go up in the attic to bring down the humidifier, and the leaf cover for the Koi pond. That will be put in place later today. Lots of hauling out concrete blocks to hold down the edges of the cover. Golly it is fun.

We had an inch of rain and lots of wind this morning. More rain is supposed to hit us. No spinning winds and no damage.

do you ever a get a break from the spinning winds? Some reports call for us to have hurricane force winds along the coast and 80-90mpg gusts inland here.

We have had 145 tornadoes in all of Oklahoma so far this year. The record is 180 for the year I think. Most are tiny and only down for a short time.

I don't think there is a month that has ever NOT had a tornado. Winter time is for sure the lower numbers. Spring is the big season for them.

Just remember, they only hit a small area, and my mom never saw on in her lifetime. I have only seen two at a distance.

We have had 8 inches of rain for the month of November. Way above normal for this month. No one is complaining. It has filled all the lakes and helping the wheat grow.
