G, some of the best skiing (now snowboarding) I have seen are on peaks in Europe only available by heli and then, only if it can put a leg down. You fly around until you find something that looks like fun. The only place that can really happen here, is Alaska.

The guys the fly the heli know where they can get you down.
Of course the most spectacular slopes are the ones that are difficult to reach, they are also for a select few.
If you get caught skiing or boarding in a prohibited area (mostly woods and nature reserves) you risk to get your equipment confiscated and serious fines. I'm talking 5000€ fines.
Austrian Alps, I have no knowledge of other areas.

I think will be doing the East coast mostly, but that is not certain yet.

Weather is dependent on the location.

We'll be starting in Boston, and probably work our way South.
All the way to Florida and New Orleans and Houston. (I think)
Maybe even a pitstop in Scottsville :)
