Morning Glen, weekend's almost there.

My parents used to call me Geronimo (they still do sometimes) and it kinda stuck.
The '74 is because my first 911 was from 1974. (I'm a few years younger than that)
I have an 86 now and have thought about asking Wayne to make it just Geronimo. But I'm leaving it as is. (for now at least)
(when I first logged in, back in the day, I'm sure I tried that but got a 'nickname not available' message and now when I look for a user named Geronimo, I can't seem to find it, how weird is that?)

Back before the internet I used to use Fidonet. The days of 300 baud modems.
I knew a local guy that posted as a 14 year old girl. It was pretty easy back then because there were no photos or sounds, just text. He would laugh is butt off at the responses from all the other computer geeks chasing an imaginary 14 year old girl.

My friend had the latest equipment and he had a 2400 baud modem long before the rest of us.

Hey, this was back in the stone ages before cable TV & before the internet. The modems were supposed to be registered with AT&T because they owned all the phone lines. No one could even own a phone, just rent the phone from AT&T. My buddy was retired and did not have much else to do. He had bad arthritis so he was rather inactive.
