Just a tad to close to the house.

I see the issue. Most people put the decorative granite above ground!

I have one of those I dub out of a flower bed years ago. Now this one cost me a lot of money to have it brought to the surface.

M80's?

Have never tried any sort of landscaping using explosives. Most I have done is attack red ant hills with black cats when younger. While it was fun, don't think it did much to rid the area of the red ant colony.

Landscaping with explosives is best left to real professionals. Mostly it results in circular craters and a lot of noise and unintended destruction. No first hand experience, just what I learned from Mythbusters.

When our sewer line started having issues we had a problem with the PCV pipe coupling tap onto the main line. Some plumber did not glue it right. The good new is the line is in our back yard. The bad news is it connected just under my storage building.

I had the choice of emptying the storage building, and disassembly and move it to give the backhoe room to get in there, or run a new line.

So we had to run a new line from the house to the main sewer line. The main line is 7 feet down. I have pictures somewhere of the guy in the hoe and he is below ground. Fortunately we have hard clay soil. It is like bricks and he did not have to line the walls with barriers. He said the clay just never moves. I was real glad I did not have to get in that hole.

The line only had to go 6 feet around the storage building and there is the main line.

I was a kid when we redid the sewer the first time at our old house. Got rid of that orange bird junk. It was fun to play in the ditch. The second time was in HS and hired a plumber that was a dates brother. He connected our line to the alley that went beside the house instead of going all the way to the back of the property. Sure saved a bunch of monies.

Wonder if the people that own the house now know the sewer line goes to the side instead of to the back.

Also when in HS brother asked me to come help dig up his sewer so he could replace it with cast iron pipe. I stopped and rented a backhoe on the way to his house. He did it all himself and didn't let me play with the backhoe at all. Can't beleive he was planning to dig it all by hand. Especially since where the pipe turns down to the sewer it had collapsed and made a big 15ft deep cistern he had to dig thru to connect to the sewer.

On Saturday we had the club breakfast. I was chatting with my buddy about his new acquisition. A 1958 Speedster. It is in pretty good shape, but he will make it much better.

At my old bachelor pad house that was built in the late 40s or early 50s had lead pipe drains under the house. The connected somehow to the Orangeburg pipe in the back yard. With the two large pecan trees in the back yard, the roots would invade the pipe regularly. I put a stainless steel marker on the concrete back porch to make the spot of the cleanout for the rooter guy. I would have to call about once per year until one of them told me to pour some rock salt in the toilet about once per month, and flush twice. The salt killed the roots, and I could go two years before getting it rotter rootered.

My biggest fear was the old pipe collapsing and having to pay for a new one. I was so happy to survive that and sell the house.

The gas line into the house was suspect as well. My neighbors on both sides had to redo theirs but mine was OK. I bet both the sewer and the gas line have been replaced by now. Both were working fine when I sold the place.

Yep, one of the things that was good about routing the sewer pipe to the side of the house is that it did not have to be routed thru a few fruit trees. Which is why it got all stopped up.

Happy hump day folks.

We have more rain, but it is supposed to all stay liquid, and go away by afternoon. Our local PCA region has what turns ot to be the biggest social event we have had in many years. 61 people are meeting for a Valentine's day celebration. One guy like to attend and I don't think he has ever been married and he is older than I am. Instead of a wife he has a 356, a 993 cabriolet, a Boxster, and a 996 and some Subaru daily driver. Nice guy, but I guess not a big womanizer.

One of the other regulars is now divorced. He has a girlfriend, but he owns a 82 911 SC, a 2019 Corvette, and a 66 Vette, and another 60s Vette that I don't remember exactly what year, 2 Harleys, and a Norton. I asked if he had a boat, and he instantly said, NO, that day he sold the boat the happiest day of boat ownership.

And to be 100% crystal clear, I prefer to have my wife than a bunch of toys I don't play with.

Aw man, Microsoft called me. They are going to cancel my security if I don't pay them. So i told them to just cancel it, I am not paying, He said I had to go and fill out a cancellation voucher and pay for that. This is when I just explaind that I was sure he like to have sex with goats, and his sister, and his mother was a prostitute in Calcutta. And then I got rude.

Lying scammers, cuss word profanity, expletives deleted.

Or he is and that is why he isn't married!

Pretty sure Jim will be done with his Z before I am done with the Cobra. I dislike working on that with extreme prejudice.
