good thing there's an atlantic ocean in between, or i'de have got get him drunk, and tied to a lamp post or something...
Another fun thing we do around here in such situations, would be to get him drunk, stripped of ID, cash, cards, phones.. and put the subject on the intercity train, you know, the one that doesn't stop at each little station, and get's you places real fast
There are many other ways to deal with it, they all involve getting him real drunk and embarrased...

Actually, for a kid his age, in today's world, he seems to be a decent kid. Seems as though the bar gets lower with each generation though.

man, i was a scout too, till they kicked me out at age of 8

had gone on a trip in north of france, had gotten bored, and had hitched hiked home, some 150-200 km's away from my home town

Can you imagine how the troop leaders must ave felt when they had to call my parents

"eehm, your son is missing, he ran away"

I was like a homing pigeon as a kid, mum would send me on some camp
i'de get either bored, or piss everybody off with.. well, being me.. And i'de find my way home faster then it took em to ship me wherever i was

My list is more in the mental department, although i did get a few good hits in , at young age no less... The aformentioned kick in the face by a fully grown horse...
Being hunted down by an eagle scout, well, that just doesn't really spook me..
I've lived in the country side, i've lived in the big city, i get around and blend in anywhere
