i have all this fun stuff going on with my car and motorcycle:

motorcycle:

i sold the mirrors, i will be using the money to buy a bar end mirror, which i prefer, and lose the non-aerodynamic stock mirrors, which are huge and useless.

i used half of the money to buy a never used seat. mine is ripped. i can put up with a lot, but a ripped seat on the motorcycle just pisses me off. that problem will soon be over.

car:

i used the other half of the money to buy autothority chips and banjo bolt for the porsche. oh, yeah.

i will be installing the race (not legal!) exhaust i have in the garage.

i will be stripping the interior.

i have an extra set of wheels with race rubber in the garage. i also have a set of race rubber, never mounted in the garage.

the season's first autocross is in two weeks.

buhahahahaha! (my evil evil laugh!)

Authority Chips with jetted banjo bolt? Hope you save enough to do a head gasket or have already done a wide fire ring head gasket.

i am glad you said this. i also hope that you will elucidate. seriously, i need all the information i can get.

as for the HG, it is wide fire. the cylinder head is O-ringed. i had to do a HG job due to other issues. i really do want to hear the criticism, in order to eliminate the need of doing another one.

seriously, i am all ears. i've done 3 944 HG's and would love to avoid blowing my current HG.

i do have a wide fire HG and my CH is O-ringed. that said, i do not want to damage my engine by being stupid.

The Autothority Chips and Banjo Jet have a reputation of over-boosting and blowing head gaskets. That is why with my Turbo S I went with Weltmeister Chips with waste gate shim. Made 270 rwhp and no problems, bulletproof for 3 years. If you already have wide fire and o-ring the next thing to go is the girdle will stretch (crank and rod bearings), and bent wrist pins from pre-detonation. I learned with the second 951 I bought. It had an autothority MAF and chips with wide fire and orings. 10K on a fresh rebuild and luckily my mechanic heard rod knock before it cratered. With the K27-8 Turbo it was the absolute quickest, but it didn't last long.

The banjo bolt restricts the available air signal to operate the waste gate. The Shim just increases the pressure about 2psi to open the waste gate. You really don't need to increase the boost much because at 16psi of boost the stock valve springs let the intake open on the exhaust stroke and you get valve float which means lower hp returns for higher risk of engine failure. There is a point where more power from boost just means more wheel spin and the car is much harder to drive. It either has too little or too much as the turbo kicks in.

Spend the monies on suspension. With just the Welt chips/shim, suspension, and street tires I was able to keep up with 996 Turbos with good drivers on race slicks at the local track and it was the car to beat at local autocross. My problem then was keeping the brakes cool.

how about you delegate your secretary into posting here when you can't be arsed?
Maybe have her post some pics of herself and whatnot?
