I just buttoned up my shifter project. WOW what a difference. My car shifts like a normal car now. I plan to drive it tomorrow just to enjoy the difference.

The one on the left. I am not usually into blondes, but this one is exceptional.

Your welcome Sid.

I just put mine in the closet un-assembled.

Good Tuesday morning guys. My 911 is fun to drive again.

Now it shifts like it was designed to. It drives so nice I drove it to work today.

I guess my next project is to replace the pedal bushings. That can wait for a while. I have some things that need to be done to my El Camino. The joys of driving cars made in the mid 80s with a combined mileage of over 420,000 miles.

OK ya sluffers, I am bumping this back to page one.

I just got home from work. My 911 is a blast to drive again. I just wish there was more than one curve on the way home.

Now get to posting ya slackers!

Dude you are still a teenager. If you are lucky you will make it to the half century mark and beyond and learn what parts of the body can hurt. Of course by then they will have the Star Trek like devices that just cure pain instantly.

Glen... I know I will feel pain by then.... I got screwed by genetics.... Joint problems run strong on both sides.... I've just resigned myself to it... I'm doing what I can to make it better... But a little pain will just be a fact of life for me....

That sucks. I was lucky. I never had any daily pain until I went over the hill of 50.

My former boss dropped by today. He will be 95 in two months. He had a cardiac stress test last week. The Dr. called him yesterday to report all of his results are just completely normal. His blood pressure, cholesterol and every other test came back as healthy. The only medicine he takes is a baby aspirin every day. He has a full set of teeth, a full head of hair, and stands straight at 6.2 inches. If you met him you would think he might be in his 70s. Not only does he still drive a car but his pilots license is still valid. He has been a pilot since 1943.

He is just an amazing man. In his words he took "early retirement at age 92."

Morning guys!
After working all those years he is "very comfortable." The only reason he retired is he could not find any company to write insurance for a 90 year old to fly the plane and shoot pictures. When he was just 89 it was no problem. For the last 25 years he would remind anyone that he could just lock the doors and close anytime he wanted, everything was paid for and he had more than enough money to retire whenever he wanted. He came to work everyday because it was his hobby and he loved it. He still misses it.

Our current pilot is just 65 and still loves to fly. He is flying 15 to 16 hours a week and sometimes has 40 and 50 hours weeks.

Sid, here is an excersize program I use to stay in shape. This really works!

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.
Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.
