Bought my son a Henry 22lr he loves it. He is working his way up to an 30'06 so he can hunt. At his size I think it would screw him into the ground if he pulled the trigger.

And if he is the one with the 30.06 it might be a good idea not to tick him off too badly.

When my daughter was about 6 ( and a very small person) she wanted to shoot Daddy's .45. I gave her one bullet (after long instruction) and when she let the hammer fall, the gun landed about 15ft behind her. She just looked at me and said, "Daddy, can I do that again?". The army was a good choice for her. hahahahahahahahaha

Nothing more deadly than a 10-14 year old boy with a 22 rifle. I have some pennies I put holes in tossing into the air back then. Got a 357 Desert Eagle when I started having dreams of someone breaking into my house and couldn't wake up. Couple of weeks of target practice cured the dreams.

The Desert Eagle was too big for my hand so I got an IMI Jericho. I liked it because it had 2 barrels, shot both 9mm (practice) and 45 ACP (home defence). Not too accurate though.

When I took my 14 yo nephew to raise I got at IMI 22 Mountain Eagle and an old 10 shot S&W K frame 22 revolver to teach him to shoot. The Mountain Eagle Pistol was as accurate as any rifle I've shot. The K frame S&W doubled in value while I owned it.

Ended up selling off everything except my Red Ryder BB gun. My neighborhood was getting very dangerous and I was afraid I might kill someone and regret it because of the repercussions. Spent the gun dollars on computers and R/C planes. Having steel doors you couldn't kick in and a golden retriever living in the house kept the family safe until we moved.

Moving sounds like the best thing you could have done. I can not imagine living somewhere that required steel doors.

My son has shot my 45 he prefers the 9mm. The hot hand loads were to much for him.

Holy crap. My new phones that were supposed to arrive here today are still in Ca. (insert lots of bad words) I talked to the guy out left and he is trying to make nice-nice with me, free overnight shipping and he claims to be unlocking them before shipment. We'll see.

Are you on the phone that much, Rico? That you order several phones at a time?

I just got a strange email:

I am J*** T******* and would like to make an order of (BRICK'S.).. i want the size of 13 x 25 Send me a price list of the ones you stock and also advise if you accept credit card payment.
The name has been changed to protect the dummy.

I told him my bricks are 1,000 bucks each. I don't sell many but the profit margin is great.

Every house on the block had been robbed except for ours. Mostly neighborhood teen hooligans. Doors and dog stopped that. Amazingly 5 of the families that lived there 15 years ago still do. In my new neighborhood my next door neighbor leaves his garage door open and never loses anything.

The only crime I've heard of since moving here is that same neighbor bought a Suburban at a dealer's auction and it was stolen that night. Figured that was an inside job from the auction and they got it before he had a chance to register it.

He used to buy 2 or 3 cars a year at auction, clean them up and flip em. Hasn't done that since the Suburban got nabbed.

I just made a nice "Bill Gates wallet size" photo. It is a 5x7 FOOT print. One piece of paper, 60 x 88 inches. It is of a oil refinery. The tanks with heavy oils use floating lids so you can tell some are full and some are almost empty. It is really amazing that with all that equipment and pipes and tanks they know how to make the proper product flow out the correct pipe.
