Weee! Looks like the 911 is going in to have the rear sway mounts strengthened, and sports bars added with new bushings.

My parents crazy neighbor was arrested on Friday! Yay - sort of. He's still in jail as of tonight. I seriously hope they have him on a 5150 hold.

This is about time. He and his family have been a nuisance for 30 years. The father died and we were blamed for the death. The mother is loony and the daughter is marginal. The eldest son seems to be the only one without a problem. The younger son (jailed, aged 56) lives in the house alone. Often brings homeless and other undesirables back to board, then usually gets pissed at them and kicks them out. This is in a million dollar neighborhood.

Seems on Friday, the neighbor above the loony bin had a sons friend over. The dad came to pick the kid up, was a little early and waited. Cray neighbor starts questioning why he is there, rights down license plate info and harasses the guy. Neighbor comes home with the kids. Loony neighbor comes onto property, kicks the nice neighbor, nice neighbor decks him and wife calls 911 . Cops come and haul the loony away. We all hope this is the beginning of the end.

I just wish he had done that to me. I'd have laid him out cold. It's come close a few times, but I think he realizes in his loony mind that I'll take him out if he swings first.

Sounds like something in the Valley air is contagious to shenanigans. I found out that last night at 3 in the morning neighbor kid across the street caught 2 different thieves roaming through my neighborhood. (You've met the kid, Dave.) Neighbor kid (he's 24, so not exactly a kid) was out smoking a cigarette on the front step when he noted a guy casing the cars parked on my street. The guy ran when confronted, and my neighbor jumped into his truck and chased sketchy guy down. Held sketchy guy at gunpoint until the cops showed. Neighbor kid does some security gigs and other club-related stuff for a "living."

Then on the way back home, my neighbor noted a van driving slowly down our street with its lights off. Odd. So he started following the van. The van snuck one way around our block, and the neighbor kid the other way. Wound up meeting up with the van at the time the cops showed. Another arrest ensued.

I have some Loony down the road, yelling at cars and wanting to go anyone.
Not sure what he is on, but the eyes say something.
Give it a day before the Cops take him away.

This guy is has a mental problem - most of the family does. The frustrating thing about all this, is nothing can be done until he hurts some one (or kicked them). We have a District Attorney down the street. We had a big meeting with all the neighbors. The D.A. is one f the newer people on the block. After he was filled in, he sympathized, but told us that there was nothing that could be done. My dad has a file from all the crap over the years that is an inch thick and has about 20 years of business cards from the various police that have come out.

The loony himself calls the traffic police on any car that is not within the required 18" from the curb. Problem is, the street curves and is on a hill. It's very hard to park correctly. He says the parking is a hazard. It's not. The street is a cul-du-sac and only has 8 houses. He filled a cleaning ladies car up with water - yes, really - because she had parked wrong. The lady was not exactly a legal resident, so he new (or guessed) that she would not be able to call the cops.

It goes on and on. I mentioned the solar panel destruction in the other thread that speedracing944 started.

Yes, thank you, Vas. Perky as ever!

By the way, is Vas your name? Not short for the recommended Fuchs cleaning treatment I suppose?

.

Legal resident or not, surely he can't get away with vandalizing someone else's property?
Damn, if it was my car, I'd spend days trying to figure out how to get back at him.
And I would find a way to make him regret that, I can be very creative when I need be..

Goodmorning guys
