Good morning guys.
Dave, I suspect that pilot that crashed on his solo is going to fail as a pilot. Rick, it is a smart idea to put away the guns around the POS-SIL. He ain't worth going to prison over. Just think of his as a POSSIL, and start using the term Possil as his name. It does help.

I have seen the light!
At 12:30 AM i hear an ATV coming up the driveway...then another...and a pick-up truck. Washington Electric Co-Op to the rescue. So i dress my feet and go out and show them were the gate is to get into the back pasture were the line is down. About 45 min. later one of them drives up and tells me that they will have my power on in a few minutes but they can't climb the next pole up the line as it's too rotten and will need to be replaced so the other 4 houses above us will have to wait till today when they bring a new pole. Watching them climb to the top of the power pole with a flashlight makes me glad i don't have that job. At least it's was warm and dry........and to think they have to do that when it's 20 below zero after a winter storm. Hope they make good money. Offered to brew them up some coffee but they declined as they had more work to do.

Those guys earn their money. It does not matter if it is an ice storm or 100+ degrees they are working on the lines. My FIL did that for 30 years. With any big storm he was out the door and on the job.
At least you have a generator as a backup. We forget how important electricity is to modern life. It is just always there. Every one of us has had a power outage at home and walked into a dark part of the house and hit the light switch knowing full well the electricity is out. It is just part of modern life to hit the switch when you want light. Welcome back to the 21st century!

Just trying to balance the pic posting so we donīt create the unfortunate misunderstanding that we are just another bunch of man-chauvinistic pigs. With my pics we just look like dorks.
