Naturally, you will present us with a You tube clip of you caressing the string of the guiiiitar into beautiful music coming out of your home built amp.

Possibly. Still, any clip by Dave manhandling his axe would be a treat.

This is the plan..
1) Get this amp working! Will test with one of the oversize amp speakers from my current Fender M80's.. 2) Buy the correct speaker for home use and build a box/cabinet around that.... Once the above is done, of course! Video and audio. 3) build the enclosure for the amp. 4) Take a break from building things and focus on flying and playing the guitar.

Missed a connection! The back tube holder... There are two green, twisted wires coming down....
They are each soldered to a separate pole.. The poles need to be bridged as well... Noted..

BTW, I just did the math. Turns out this thread has produced an average of almost 36 posts per day over a two year period. Amazing.

I am awfully sorry, G! I was just trying to sketch the general scenery for us, few, non yanks. Also, me and Stijn had regular contact outside of Pelican at that time, so I felt I knew him a little better than the rest.
My bad, as they say!

It's true we didn't really knew each other before this thread. That has, since then changed. This is the best thread ever, IMO.

Get off my lawn!

Good morning all.
We are scratching our heads wondering how the multi-national companies like to spend their money. One of our local customer companies is owned by a huge international company. They want to send a person from Houston to come inspect our "flight operations." They sent a long questionnaire for us to fill out. They want to inspect the parts depot to see that the part tagging is done properly, they want to see the fuel depot & the motor pool where we keep the company cars. They want to see the maintenance hangar where the repairs are done and they want list of the flight crew, Captions, co-pilots and camera operators. They want to review our random drug testing policy and interview the mechanics on staff. I would have told them we keep all of that in the armory next to our space ship which is totally a truthful statement. What a waste of time and money.

Company I work for has a whole team that goes thru to insure everything meets the standards so we can say we are ISO 9001 certified. Oil companies don't send out anyone like you are getting, instead, if you aren't certified, you don't get their business.

The real irony is that the local customer only spends a couple of grand every other year. They are not a big customer at all. We don't want to loose them but we operate 100% inside the FAA requirements. Only the FAA can dictate how we operate.
The entire BS thing is driven buy the possibility that while we are working for them, if we had a mechanical failure in the airplane we might crash into their facility. The possibility of crashing into a facility full of pipes and explosive bad pookie chemicals or just the empty area around the plant is silly. The pilot would obviously do everything possible to head to open ground. The fact is that aircraft fly over their facility all the time. This company has flown their facility since the 60s in the same airplane we have now. I bet they have never seen it. We can fly over their facility anytime we want and there is nothing they can do to stop that, except don't pay us. ![]() Dave I bet you fly over all sorts of chemical plants & refineries while you are flying. You don't ever change your course to avoid flying over one.
