What only taking one woman to bed at a time? I know it's horrible.

My cats have been fighting for domination since day one.. It's what they do.
As long as they don't take an eye out eachother, it's best to leave it.

Though sometimes it's annoying when they have a little war at 3 o clock in the morning..
But when i want em to knock it off, i play this vid on my Blackberry

Essentially when they hear this, they stop fighting amongst themselves, and start patrolling the house and garden, looking for the invader...

I try not to over do it, in case they figure out they have been fooled by the hooo-man.

Beware, Stijn. Once they have caught on to you, you are smoked.

Hahahahahahaha I just played that vid and there were some VERY big eyes in my den. That is a keeper.
Best thing you can do David is simply leave your cats alone as D stated. Mine all take turns in the top dog seat depending where they are in the house. Generally Panzer is the top of the food chain but in a confined space Endo rules (he is an itty-bitty-kitty) and if one of the cats end up under Doo-Doo it is over for them. (he is the anti-itty-bitty-kitty) Missy, well she just sucks in general and spends her time walking along the base moldings to stay out of the way of the other 3

That's what i like a bout cats, compared to dogs.

With dogs, once Alpha dog is established, rarely will there be a change of command without a new , external influence or a new addition to the pack.
If a dog at some point becomes the b1tch, he will usually give up and become a loyal servant of the alpha dog. To the point where he becomes a sad and useless bit of misery if the leader is missing..

Cats on the other hand, they don't give a F... Loose one battle now, win another battle later.
And when they might disagree now, when **** hit's the fan , eg another one straying on their turf, they will gang up on the intruder and kick his ass like it was 1945.
And the next day, they will simply reset the alliance and try and take control again.

Cats do no feel sorry for themselves like dogs sometimes do.. They simply move on and try something else.

This is Boris when he just arrived, he was tiny compared to Bubba, but even then he tried to take command.. He was trying to dominate even when he was that small.
He never backed down, got his ass handed to him MANY times.. But all it did, was train him to be the bad ass he currently is.
He's not the biggest cat on the block, but in terms of fighting , i've yet to see a stranger get the best of him.

Bubba these days will win 1 in 10 fights, but Bubba is more of a loner, he just wants to be left alone most of the time..
Boris however, is always ready for a fight, he has a brain the size of a peanut, and that's what the peanut has for programming.
Boris = Steal, Beg, Fight , Kill, never back down.

Domestic cats are not the fuzzy, soft things people think they are. The skeletal structure of a cat is nothing more than a place to hang muscle and even though they will curl up with you, at the end of the day they are hunters and killers deep down. Cats kill, that is their job and they all like the work.
Dogs have masters, cats have staff

no idea, my approach to grass is simple
it grows
i let it grow till it's almost to late to still make it with the mower.

I don't spray against weeds,
i don't care about moss,
or whatever,
i don't fertilize
or water it.

I assume that millions of years worth of evolution and natural selection means it can take care of itself. Btw, that's the previous rental house, the grass here is more , "wild".

Nice cut on Boris today... it's been a while since anybody has been able to produce visible damage on him...

Right now, it's to hot to fight... 28 degree C .
I'm walking around in shorts, and it's October.

I bet the winter will be cold as hell once it comes.

Turned a Chicken into Vol Au Vent

Basically boil a chicken with veggies and herbs
till the meat falls off and you got a good stock/bouillon

then add mushrooms and meatballs.

Then make a roux (butter and flower) and work that into a sauce with the stock and creme...

mix it all up, and there you go : Vol Au Vent.
Very good with fries and mayonaise

We had that warm front too yesterday. Eating out in the garden late afternoon in October. Rather special. But I share your premonition. It will probably be a cruel winter. Not like I remember them from childhood when there used to be a handful of days with snow and minus degrees. Nowadays that the theme of the whole winter season. We didnīt even bother to change to winter tires. These last winters I would have missed job every other day without them. Thats global warming for ya. Duh..

I really loath the upcoming season. The darkness decent upon us like a damp, dark gray blanket. Almost always a brisk wind and precipitation of some sort. The indoor season is fast approaching accompanied with a depression of mind and dulling of the bodily functions. Six months of semi-coma. Nothing remotely fluffy about it.

So far so good Rick.
I've been working on top of a mountain in N.H. moving cranes from one mountain top to another at a wind mill site.
I had 60K lbs. of counter weights on one load and lost traction going up to the next site.
It's so steep that when i stabbed the clutch and hit the brakes a 30K lb weight slid off the back of the trailer.
