Markus.
I know two people that work in the mental health area.
Both with the max education and all the letters after the names.
When I talk to them I find they are both depressed.
Family in a mess, they dont know what to do.
They have read it all in books.
I get the feeling its not a part of life for them.
What they have studied has not helped them.
In all they have studied ,something is missing.

Those carts are made for short skinny 14 year olds kids. I drove a few runs and it is worse than the Tesla roadster to get into and out of. At least for a 6 foot tall guy of my age and body mass. I much prefer the real thing at the autocross course. And the autocross is cheaper!

Karting is the best driving practice you can do.
Ever noticed when karting, thinking ends and the brain goes on auto mode.
Like when playing music or painting.
When you snap out of it you have lost all sense of time.

I still prefer autocross.

I was just thinking how poor my condition was... and how to beat the other guy.
Nobody was overtaking me in the first heat, i was overtaking all but those who were doing the same times as me, but were at the other end of the track..

second heat i was useless, my arms were gone, so was my controle.. It's way more physical then driving a sports car, even a race prepped car has better seats and seating position..
Less variables , no shifting, so it's all about steering the right lines and throttle / brake control...

The trick to driving a kart fast is to steer with the brake.
Very small turning of the wheel.
Thats the best way to keep the engine up in the revs.
And use your bum to shift weight when you brake.
Flat out or full brake no other action.

This was the first time I went, we were on a team bulding thing for work and none of my teammates wanted to drive. Did a 30 minute stint in the kart. That hurt but man I smoked the field. By the time I did finally trade out we were 6 laps up.

I'm not that good, but when I get stacked up against the average joe, I'm reminded that joe sucks. And these are the poeple we share roads with.
