Ahhhhhh nothing like a few hours of mountain therapy in the 911 to refresh a person.

Morning guys. It was windy yesterday, which is nothing unusual for Cal Poly. Something about the canyons/hills and certain air masses warming up quicker in the morning and cooling quicker in the afternoon. It continued from yesterday afternoon through the night and now it is even stronger. It wears me out quicker on my bike, but that is fine. At least going in one direction I can build up even more speed.

I tried some relatively tame mountainbike trails in the canyon today since I hoped the trees and hills might provide a wind break but it was not much help. And my tires are semi-slick, more for the road, so I could not get much traction. I could not stand on the pedals and power up hills like I do on road, so it made it less fun. But I went a ways back in there. It is a pretty area for sure.

Coming back on the road, I was going up a steepish hill here by my appartment which I should be able to easily take on the 3rd chain ring and 4th sprocket (so a high gear) but with the wind I could not make any headway and had to drop down to the 2nd chain ring and still was fighting. Then I turned on a road perpendicular to the wind and went behind a tree and almost overshot the turn due to having the power on and correcting for the crosswind.

I'll take wind any day over rain.

I couldn't spend 100 bucks on something like earphones. No way they are worth that kind of money.

One could argue that the premium of a springfield spoon over say the same model by RID is unjustified.

Max, I hear you on the wind, I tried to ride yesterday and it was just miserable. I rode for about 20mins, and said screw it. Only about 1/3 third of our place was worth riding on in the wind. Seems a bit nicer today, I may go try again, but Idk...

I spent 50 on earbuds last summer, and I'm damn glad I did. I use them every day, sometimes for hours on end. They are comfortable, and they sound great. When they die, I will buy another pair no doubt.

Most of the time, ya get what ya pay for.
The ones I ordered are designed specifically for android phones, there's an app that let's you custom program the online controller buttons.

I just never seem to use the buttons on the set. Maybe if I had a comfortable pair with buttons I might. The ones that come with the iphone suck....

iPhone headsets suck

They do.
I find them painful to wear, uncomfortable would be an improvement...

Only time I use the earbuds is when I need the handsfree. I need to get me a bluetooth, but I just haven't yet...

Joe, I did this with my earbuds. They block out almost all outside noise, and I forget they are in.

Hmm, looks interesting. These are supposed to have great sound quality and noise cancelling. I've never been happy with music sound quality over bluetooth and that's all I'll use em for.

Ear buds make my ears fill up with wax...What?

I have some Sony bluetooth headphones I like. Don't have to program the buttons cause they all make sense.

Ya, bluetooth isn't for music, I'd never expect it to work for that. I want a bluetooth earpiece for calls, but thats it. For music I don't mind plugging in.
