Just ordered me a Chemex coffee maker and some filters.... Been playing with the poor boy way of that and it makes a quick good cup of coffee. The chemex filters will provide a much purer cup....

I never really acquired the taste for coffee. Plus, I used to drink caffinated diet soda frequently. Then I realized I would get caffine withdrawl headaches almost every day since it had been about 24 hours since I last had a soda.

So I feel much better now without caffine (for the most part, I will still occasionally have a caffinated soda if it is late at night and I need to stay up to drive or something).

The throttle bodies are worn so with that and the cams it idles high and doen't like putting around town. It has headers so no thermostat control. It is set permanently lean but in a few months our mechanic is going to install a system to actuate the cold start squirters with a button. That way the warm starts will go smoother. As it is now cold starts require two or three starts before it continues running. And warm starts take a lot of cranking since the cold start squirters do not work due to the heat soak.

But as long as you keep the revs up it is a hoot!

I can't imagine what a higher compression RSR motor would be like.
Them RSR engines are awesome!
Said it before, the GT3 I drove was a nice engine at high RPM.
But a a bit yawny for me.

yawny? You mean it needs to be revved a lot? Or you mean it is boring?

Booooring.

Its a great engine.
Its just so underpowered for the rest of the car.
The older 911s are a good engine to car combo.
The new ones I have driven feel underpowered, thats how good they are.
All this adds up to boring for me.
And yes, I drove it hard.

They do sound great.
Be nice if Porsche put a bit more time into the GT3 RSRs.

Coffee does smell nice to me when I am walking down the aisle in the market with the roasted beans. Just don't like the taste.

I drink Diet Coke, or Coke Zero like its going out of style, I know I need to cut back.... But.....

Yes the caffeine in coffee is different, it gives me much more of a kick....

I'm finding that I'm just trading one habit for another, but at least coffee is cheaper....

Its definitely an acquired taste. I spent quite a while drinking the mixed stuff at Starbucks before I got to where I can drink it black. It helped that at Philmont my only choice was cowboy coffee, boiled in a pitcher, poured through a paper towel to filter, so I was forced to drink black just due to lack of options...

D, the way I see it.... Dead is Dead.... Doesn't really matter how you got there, chances are the end isn't going to be pretty...

I've not seen any hardcore evidence on the whole diet will kill you thing. It may trim a few years off the end, but I really doubt its enough to matter if it does....
