It's really messed up, she can't even do things without him or mom checking up on her.
If I told you all the things she told me yesterday, I'm not sure you would believe it. Couldn't believe my ears myself yesterday... You can't make this stuff up. This is the stuff they make movies about... I'm still trying to comprehend all of it.

Okay Beth was married before I met her, and her husband was not the kind to let go. Well I got him in a corner one evening and told him, he had his chance and he blew it, it was my turn. I informed him that he was history and if he insisted on following his present course of action I would be the last thing he would see before darkness descended. He got the hint and hasn't been a problem.
I have found a cold stare directly into someones eyes, and a very calm voice predicting the end of someones time has a rather lasting effect. Especially when there is a woman involved.

Before we can really get going, she needs to decide for herself to try and end this.
That's going to be difficult but she has to. Not for me, but for herself. As I see it, she might have to break with her mother for a while, which is never easy. Mom has to know that the ex bf is not her daughter's future and she's not going to accept that willingly.
My hands are kinda tied as well. I'd love to step in and deal with it for her, but I can't do anything more than stand by her and help whenever I can. Pretty helpless feeling to be honest.
You know some people live for years with a tumor and do nothing. A doctor would cut it out right away. I'd like to be that doctor.. (weird analogy, I know, but pretty accurate I think.)

The dynamics of your situation are indeed messed up only because of her mother. The ex, he is the easy part.

Thing is, I haven't learned to deal with this either.. I'm learning on the go, with no chance to mess up...

you will have to really tread carefully with the mother, as a mother myself, I know we can be a real beach to deal with. Even if her efforts are misguided they will still have the killer insincts of a mother, very nasty thing to deal with.

But if you really like the new gf, then you have to help, but be careful.

In lighter news it looks like the ghost from my past that was starting to haunt me again on FB has been put back to rest. Sometimes it is a good thing to know how to tell people things they don't want to hear, in a manner that they just slip away from the conversation. I kinda like this subtle way of doing things.

I am dieing over here, bluddy flu shot, went to work and spread the germs, not really the thing to do, but we are flat out atm, and since I am only going to be here for another couple of months I have to get stuff sorted before I leave. Transitioning stuff to other areas is not easy, I think I will have to shove it down their throats before they get the idea that I am not going to be here.

I read that quickly and thought at first it said 'braces" lol that would make him really young..

and speaking of braces, the youngest is going to the orthodontist next week and I am going to be about 7K out of pocket, oh well its only money.
