Not exactly awake and will be going back to bed when Beth goes to work. I'll give ya an honest answer after I get back up.

Morning folks. We are up and watching the F1 race. I love my DVR. The weather sucked yesterday. 5 killed in Weatherford last night. That is just a few miles from Sid's place and that is where he goes to school.

That photo showed how big the storm was.

Wow, Shanghi had a BUNCH of wheel to wheel racing. There was even a pass made in the pit lane. I think the drivers were having a blast and getting paid for it too.

B-1B is a week and 1200 km's old now.
And i have to say, i miss BF-1..

The new one has a **** suspension, way to soft.
And the steering is not as sharp as the old one.

Adding to that, the Eco version that i have, isn't homologated with runflat tires..
So the stiff sidewalls that i had grown to love so much are gone. And the eco tires i got are terrible

Basically i've got a frigging boat now.. Steering is about as sharp as a Razor that has been used for about 45 dull shavings past the original good clean shaves.

The car is totally uninspiring when it comes to fast speeds and corners.

Don't get me wrong, it's a decent car, and it's not a total slow pig either.
But it doesn't give me the confidence to be fast , like BF1 did.

I may have to get me a 944S again, doesn't have to be pretty, as long as it hauls...

They must be softening the model up for an M version to be a noticeable difference.

I liked my X3, it had the sport package so everything except the motor had M3 on it. Just a little giggly riding though. Did get 2nd fastest time against a race prepped 914 with it. Our lady timer didn't like the 914 driver so she took as second off my time to freak him out. And it did! He got so freaked that nobody would tell him about the second off my time that gave me FTD by .006 seconds.

I think it's just because they listened to the wrong crowd..
The people who had a 1 series said, need more room, need more this, need more that, it's to stiff. blablabablabla

So they ruined the 1 series instead of pointing out that they have bigger BMW's with softer rides for those who need it..

all the time they make the cars bigger and bigger and bigger
The 3 series now, is as big as a 5 series used to be
a 5 is now the size of an old 7

the 7 now, is about as big as Battleship Bismarck used to be.

So they added to 1, which was about the size of an old 3.

What will they do , when the next 1 is the size of an oil tanker again?
introduce the 0.1 series? It's stupid.

all want, is an affordable 2 seater, RWD and a decent suspension.
I don't care about the rear passengers room cause i don't have rear passengers.

Why bother with all the eco crap if you going to make cars that are to big for the drivers needs?
I'm pretty sure they can give me teh same performance as BF1 and the economy of B-1B, if only they took BF-1, and made it a sports coupe with just 2 seats and a boot.
They could loose 250 kilos that way, and make the car cheaper.. And if anybody wants 4 seats. No problem that's what all the other BMW's have.

Yep, the customer usually has no idea what they really want. Especially the vocal ones. I remember everyone complaining when the iMac was introduced without a floppy drive. Two days later the floppy manufacturers announced they weren't making them any more.

Friend's parents lost their roof Friday nite at 1am. They were asleep and roof over bedroom is all that was still there. Luckily they were no hurt and have an RV to live in while the house is being rebuilt.

Before I was born a tornado went right down main street of the town my parents were living. They lived in a two story house. After the tornado went thru my parents found a U-haul trailer in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The tornado had evidently lifted the roof off the house, tossed the trailer in and put the roof back down almost nail for nail. Had to cut the trailer up to get it out of the house, and they just re-nailed the roof as it sat. That was in the 50's and the house is still there.
