Yup. Thanks for asking , David. Today no temp at all. Weird. But I always find they spike their temps at night. But I think this one finally has his immune system up so maybe he did get over it that quickly.... Thank goodness!!! Can't get much work done when I am getting him juice and popsicles all day. And of course, cuddling with him.

Joe, sucking chest wound? You mean stab wound or gun shot wound? I spent two weeks in the nation's largest trauma center and I saw some crazy stuff! Saw a man come in with a gunshot wound through the chest. They already had his chest cracked while the doctor was on the gurney HAND PUMPING his heart while they wheeled him the OR. Guy was white as a sheet. Probably lost all his blood. They brought the guy back to life. Crazy.
Another one came in with his arm torn off by a Bobcat machine... |

SCWs can be inflicted by a variety of methods.....the only ones I've seen are firearm inflicted.......the last one still farks with me.....that low gurgle they make is a sound not easily forgotten..

That's what happens when they try to replace a wild animal with some sort of machine.

Where you're at least expecting it rather than pulling into a parking lot in a beautiful spring day to find a middle age man on the ground , slowly and painfully dying of a SCW.....

I always expect to see a middle aged man on the ground, slowly and painfully dying of a SCW when I pull into parking lots on a beautiful spring day. That way I feel much better about the day when it doesn't happen.

I just carry duct tape, a paper clip, and a Swiss Army knife.

Duct tape and some sort of tubing can be a good chest seal......kinda like bleeding brakes......let the fluid and blood out and don't let the air in.....

Duct tape also make a good cup holder. As long as it's a full roll.

Sucking chest wounds are fun because then you get to throw in a chest tube.
