Sorry to hear about your blindness. I don't mean to be crass but u probably can find boyfriends on this forum . If they are butt ugly we can let u know. Contenders must show pics though and we will judge accordingly. Seriously Tweeze how can u drive a Porsche if u are legally blind?

The radiator and head light covers are kevlar. The one headlight makes it look like a motorcycle to seem less of a threat and draw less fire.

Only one eye. Right eye. You can still legally drive if you can pass the driving test. And I said I wanted a Porsche. Not drive like a maniac. Just cruise. And besides, not legally blind anymore. Was blind in that eye for about a year and a half, had some procedures done and now my vision is a little better. That's why I try to get everything I can in. Just in case it goes bad again or my other eye goes too. life is too short fellas.

That is going to a lot of commuting for you two. As soon as Tweez takes her new job she will be on the left coast and you on the right coast. Maybe you can both fly to a hot vacation in Oklahoma and meet up

Don't worry, Noah. I am only saying OK to challenge his bluff. He asks me at least daily.

Well that was not a smart decision. I went out and did a little riding around the hill here on the paved roads on campus even though it was sort of misting and the road was quite wet. I thought a little water would not hurt. Then I decided to try a little bit of the reasonably well packed dirt road. I thought if I went slow enough I would stay clean. Well it did not work that way. Bike covered in mud and clothes as well. It should not show on the jeans after washing but I will have to work on the shirt to get the mud out.

The bigger issue is my chain sounds gravelly outside a certain range of gears. It started off good since I just lubed it yesterday. I think it was all the mud and grit in there though. I wish I had a garden hose like at home to hose it off but I tried to to what I could with a rag when I got back to my room. I cleaned the derailer idler sprockets and it seems a little better now.

Oh well, next time I will know.

It is starting to clear up now. Looks like it will be dry for the farmers market.

So Ducati is bringing it's stressed engine, stiff, monocoque frame concept to their street bikes now. It does not seem to be compliant enough when leaned over in MotoGP, hampering grip. They changed from Carbon boxes to Aluminum boxes to get more compliance I believe. But on the street one does not lean so much or ride so aggressively (or shouldn't) so I guess it should work just fine. The street one already has an Aluminum airbox/steering head section. It has enough horsepower, that is for sure!

Love those desmodromic valves...

two words, one product: white lightning. the best chain lube, ever. cleans the chain, lubes the chain, and is self cleaning between maintenance. take your chain off, heat some cheap vegetable oil in a pan you don't care about (the thrift store is the ticket) and drop your chain in there. while it is cleaning on the stove (yeah, you heat it pretty hot), clean all your spockets, really good. when the chain looks good and clean, remove it from the oil and take it outside for a good blasting with some brake cleaner. put the chain back on, lube it up with white lightning and you are good to go.

oil lube will kill your chain because it picks up debris and grit. white lightning sheds that debris and grit as you go. after lubing once, reapplications periodically is all you need.
