godam I hate the fcukers who smoke weed around here. The place started reeking of it this afternoon and now I just got a huge whif of it that drove me out of my room. I like having the window open but it does have its drawbacks. Normally they keep it in the parking lot but sometimes I smell it in my room which sucks way worse.

Some dude and his woman showed up late to the music class the other day and sat next to me, reeking terribly of weed. I so wanted to tear him a new one. That was a long lecture.

I have not seen the moon rise yet. Odd since it was out so early yesterday. Stargazing is no good where I am. Too much light pollution. It never gets dark here. I so wish Rick would come out here with his little friend and take care of the street light problem.

are you ok, Max? You seem irked. In general. Take a deep breath and relax. It's all good. I agree with Embraer. If only you young people could know what we know. Even some grown ups don't get it. Life is too short to be bothered by the little things. Max, you would be surprised at what comes your way when you just let go and enjoy the present moment. Things seem to fall in place whether you fight to get them or not. I have learned this the hard way.

Have a relaxing night, my friend.

Well breathing the maryjane smell irks me. That and the simulink model is not working right now.

I can see it almost risen now over the hill.

I think it was just that I was disappointed and frustrated that things did not work out this weekend with the girl. And no one returns my emails or uses their facebook! I don't know how else to get ahold of her yet since I don't have her phone number.

Crap. Forgot the cable release. Using a 400mm lens with a 2x extender. I've effectively got a 1200mm lens with the 1.5 partial sensor. Even with a 10 second delay, the lens vibrates. I may try this again a little later. Moon won't be as big, but it'll be above the haze.

The moon does not get any smaller when it is higher in the sky. It just looks like it because it is not so close to the landmarks. It is still in the haze here.

I'm well aware of the moon and its altitude. I took that pic at the full phase. It's now getting smaller or waning. It will technically be smaller - the visible portion.

When did you take the pic then? And I doubt you can tell it is smaller in an hour or so. It takes at least a day or two for me to tell anyway.

Purdy picture, Dave!

And Max, I know you are but don't let it ruin your whole weekend. You get what you throw out there. I know, sounds cliché but it's true. When I used to get all bent out of shape over dudes, it's like all guys could sense it. But when I started to be like whatever and just had fun, guys were all over the place. People in general, not just those of the opposite sex, gravitate towards confident, easy-going people who make them feel good.

There is tomorrow or the next day, or the next for a chance with this girl. And even if it ends up as never, who cares? Plenty of other gals, Max. If we all stopped at the first person that rejected us, there no longer would be a human species.

Cheer up. Do something fun. Don't let other people ruin your weekend.

I sent my friend an email yesterday, asked to forward it (and my email) to the other girl explaining I am going to be gone on Saturday but would be up for something on Sunday. I don't want to sound desparate but I think I am. I am waiting for a response to that. I won't know where to find them tomorrow. Next I will see them is Monday unless they are at the library somewhere tomorrow. I will suggest a studay party or something.

Right about 8:35. With 1200mm, you can tell.

She hasn't rejected me yet. That is the issue. Things are just moving way too slowly for me. No communication yet.

And I still went and did the hike by myself. So I don't let it stop me from doing what I like to do, but I can't get the thought of her out of my mind.

Thanks, but it's fuzzy. I don't like fuzzy pictures. No chance to even crop this one to show the man in the moon.

There were owls hooting out there when I went out and took some pictures a few minutes ago.

I didn't say she rejected you. I just said that if it eventually ends up at a dead end, don't worry about it. And one more thing and I am going to shut up. If you feel like you are being desperate, what vibe do you think you are sending to the girl? Again, girls (and guys) are strange. If something comes a little too easy, we get bored or wrongfully assume it isn't worth getting. She knows you are waiting for her. So what is going to stop her from making you wait? She doesn't feel any urgency because she knows you are waiting for her. Believe me, once she sees you aren't waiting for her, she'll want you.

Nuff said.
